Thank you Miss Ginny and Col. Lovett for buying me Lego, Capsella, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and other things to encourage my imagination! I believe I've reached the limit of the kayak train. It's got a little wobble in its weeble, but I can work it out. If anyone has expertise in multiple trailers, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

The blue boat remains nameless. Please comment with ideas. So far we have Caroline, The _____ Mermaid, Litter Clipper, and Blues Picker

I haven't been in touch with the organizers of Living Shoreline about the event on June 13th at Veterans Park, but I'm keeping that afternoon clear to help them, and then clean the ditch from 40th-58th.

When we picked up the 2nd cart, Kevin offered us another boat that was donated. So of course I found a home for "The Tank" that was donated two weeks ago. The new owner brought it out and we ran The Loop and picked up trash. The blue boat is now our loaner boat. The Tank is available to us when we need a trash barge. We've got quite the fleet now. The canoes are still for sale.

The new blue boat needs a name. Any suggestions?

We got a second cart! Cue the Black Sabbath cause it's time to build the crazy train. As my brother-in-law says Spem successus alit. Now that I've proven I can carry two kayaks on my bike, I want to try three. I might have to start joining parades. This rig is too fun to not share.

Living Shoreline and the E.A.C. have an event at Veterans Park on June 13th. If low tide is right, we might piggyback a cleanup. The ditch from 40th to 58th needs love. Yes, it's a tidal ditch that interacts with the Davis Canal. Stay tuned...

Hoo! Yeah! Thank you friends of the Davis Canal! I asked for a hand and twelve showed up. They brought ropes and situational engineering and got the derilct dock out of the canal.
Not so fun fact... A floating object can destroy a mile of the marsh/grass.

We found the floating dock that locals told us about. It can be towed to the Rec Center, or across the canal to the fishing spot. I'm going out at 5 to try to wrangle it to shore. An extra set of hands would be nice. I might just try to get it tied to the dock or shore, and then make plans to cut it up and out. Let me know if you want to help. We received a couple donation boats. The kayak will be our new trash barge and available to loan. The 16' Riverjammer and the 12' "Swaying Mary" are up for sale. We're trying to get $500 to buy carts for the three kayaks that we use the most. The Swaying Mary was part of the floating bridge we made for our first marsh cleanup. Yesterday I explored a section of the canal that I haven't been to in years. This morning was high tide and I went way up the south side past the 9th St crossover. I was rewarded with a hardhat and a crab pot. Plus bug spray and some miscellaneous stuff. Yes, I got balls. 🤣

As I listed the critters I've seen in the last two weeks I noticed that Canadian geese were missing. Guess who did a flyover this morning?!
