Her favorite place is right by your side! This beautiful girl is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she's curled up at your feet, leaning in for pets, or soaking up a belly rub. Her love language is simply being close to her people. 💗

Kira is well-loved by her current family, but they've realized that condo living with a cat isn't the best fit for her. They want to find her a home where she can truly thrive and live her best and happiest life.

• Kira / 1 year old / 53 lbs / White German Shepherd mix / House & crate trained�
• Sweet and gentle, extremely affectionate, people-oriented, & so eager to please�
• Lives for belly rubs, cuddles, and spending time with her humans�
• SUPER smart, very well-trained, graduated obedience school - and even won her class's "sit/stay" competition!�
• Enjoys puzzle toys, chewing bones, tug-of-war, and learning new things�
• Excellent indoor manners, never destructive, great at vet and grooming visits
• Walks nicely with an experienced handler. Leash reactive with other pups on walks
• Microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed. Located in CT.

What Kira is looking for in a forever home:

• Gentle & loving humans w prior shepherd experience who understand her breed
• A securely fenced yard where she can play and relax to her heart's content
• No cats. She's usually calm if they are still, but likes to chase if they move
• Reactive on leash w other dogs, so she'd love to be your one & only canine queen
• A loving owner who'll continue her training using positive reinforcement

As a small nonprofit organization, we don't receive any outside funding. Every life we save is made possible through adoption fees and the generosity of our supporters - and that's why we're especially grateful today!

A huge thank you to Jamie Dulick and his wife, Kristin Scott, who, through their foundation Manifesting Pawsabilities, awarded OAAR a $10,000 grant! This gift is truly lifesaving and will help us continue rescuing dogs who desperately need a second chance.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Ravioli's adorable coloring? 🎨🐾 This handsome boy looks like he was created by an artist with a sense of humor! From his head to the middle of his body, he's one color, and then it looks like someone dipped his back end and part of his tail into black paint. And that cute splash of white on his nose? Don't worry - it isn't paint! It's just one more thing that makes Ravioli absolutely irresistible. ❤️
