Troop 3 Ayer, BSA The Official page for Scouts BSA Troop #3 of Ayer, Massachusetts. Troop 3 is a Boy Scout Troop sponsored by Combination Company #1, Ayer Fire Dept.

We were founded in 1951 and have been an active troop since that time. We are a boy-led troop, allowing our Scouts to develop leadership skills with their peers through the course of their years in the Troop. Troop 3 attends summer camp at Camp Wanocksett in Dublin, NH every summer. We also provide boys an opportunity to attend events such as National Scout Jamborees and Order of the Arrow Confere

nces, as well as High Adventure Bases like Philmont Scout Ranch. Our meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm September - June. We generally meet at the Ayer Fire Station, but occasionally have meetings at our camping area off of Brook St. Any boy aged 11 - 18 can join the Boy Scouts of America. Here are a few photos from the 2026 Shirley Memorial Day Parade. Unfortunately, the Ayer parade was cancelled due to weather. We had a combined effort with Troop 2 Ayer, MA and Troop 123 Shirley with some members from Ayer Cub Scout Pack 32 and local Girl Scouts.

Important Update Regarding Memorial Day Parade

Due to forecasted rain, the organizers have informed the Town of Ayer, MA that they will be cancelling the parade portion of the ceremony.

The Memorial Day Ceremony will still be conducted at the Ayer Town Hall (Indoors) in the Great Hall at 10am. All are welcome to attend.

We had a great time at the Worcester JCC with Troop 1 Harvard, MA and Troop 2 Ayer, MA at the recent "lock in" overnight. The Scouts were in the pool for about 2 1/2 hours, played floor hockey, capture the flag, and other games until the wee hours of the morning!
