Troop 7 Shirley, BSA Join the fun! pumpkin chunking with our trebuchet, archery, target shooting with shotguns, camping all four seasons , leadership skills and more! For Boys 11-17.

With more than 130 Merit Badges—from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival—Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it

pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.

It is great sadness that we announce the time of Troop 7 Shirley has come to an end. The Scouts of the troop were dedicated to their community and completed many worthwhile Eagle projects. In recent years, it has been a challenge to bring in younger scouts. As our older Scouts reached age 18 we saw the troop size shrinking eventually leaving a few younger Scouts. It seemed in the best interest of these scouts to seek another troop where they would have older Scouts for mentors. We hope that we can resurrect the troop at some point.

This Sunday, November 8th starts the annual food drive for Loaves and Fishes. Scouts and friends will be delivering bags to households in Shirley starting at 1 pm. They will return on the 15th to pick up the bags with food donations.

To all our loyal wreath customers, it is with great disappointment to tell you that we are not able to sell our Christmas wreaths this year. We lost our supplier and have not been able to connect with a new one. We hope to be back next year.

So angry and sad that someone would break into the Boy Scout trailer and steal from the boys! They work hard to raise funds to support their program and buy equipment.

We are looking for boys who like to camp, have adventures and gain leadership skills.

Youth can join Scouts BSA if they have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18.

Troop 7 is proud to introduce our newest Eagle Scout, Aidan Linnane. Aidan is a 2020 graduate of St. Bernard's High School and the son of Rob and Lisa Linnane. The revitalization is the Learning Garden at Lura A White school was Aidan's Eagle project.
