Avondale Estates is taking a major step toward transforming long-blighted areas of downtown into walkable neighborhoods, public green space, new infrastructure, and vibrant community connections. The proposed Avila + Hedgewood project, alongside investments from the City and DDA, brings the vision of the Downtown Master Plan closer to reality and marks an exciting new chapter for downtown Avondale Estates.

Join us Saturday, May 23 for Romeo and Juliet, where Shakespeare’s legendary tale of young love and family conflict comes to life in a fun, family-friendly outdoor performance. Enjoy an afternoon filled with live music, interactive storytelling, and scenes from one of the most famous plays ever written.

🎭 Schedule of the day:
2 p.m. — Musical Stylings of Pint Sized
2:30 p.m. — “Shake it Out with Shakespeare” | interactive children’s storytelling
4 p.m. — Highlights from Romeo and Juliet

Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and umbrellas for shade, then settle in for a spring afternoon on the Town Green 🌸☀️

‼️ Audience members can also enjoy interactive moments woven throughout the performance for an immersive Shakespeare experience.
