FAMILY MATTERS: HURT BY MAN, BUT HEALED BY GOD
Sometimes the people closest to us can hurt us, misunderstand us, or make us feel rejected. But man’s rejection can sometimes be God’s direction.
God wants to use you in a mighty way—but you have to let Him in. Every part. Every hurt. Every question. Every area of your life.
“For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up.”— Psalm 27:10 NASB1995
When home feels hard, don’t suffer in silence. Prayer changes things. When we pray, we invite God to move and begin changing things in the atmosphere.
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”— Psalm 46:1 NASB1995
🗝️ BIBLICAL KEYS FOR TOUGH SITUATIONS AT HOME:
1. Talk to your parents first.
Be a peacemaker and choose the right time, place, and words.
2. Pray first, pray last, and pray always.
Ask God for wisdom before having difficult conversations.
3. If talking feels too hard, write it down.
Text it. Write a note. Script your opening words. Start somewhere.
4. Don’t suffer in silence.
If you’re dealing with abuse, violence, safety concerns, or something illegal, tell a safe adult. Getting help is NOT gossiping—it’s protecting yourself and helping your family.
And remember: there is no such thing as a perfect person, so there is no such thing as a perfect parent. We all need grace, healing, wisdom, and God. God promises:
I will be with you.
I will protect you.
I will be your strength.
I will answer you.
I will provide for you.
I will give you peace.
I will always love you.
“For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds,” declares the LORD… — Jeremiah 30:17 NASB1995
What hurt you doesn’t have to define you. What broke you doesn’t have to be the end of your story. God can heal what home broke.
