A strong Highest Award project starts with understanding what your community actually needs and knowing who can help you make a difference.

At LeadHER in: Community Partnerships on Oct. 18, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors pursuing their Silver or Gold Award will learn how to identify meaningful community needs, connect with reputable organizations, and build partnerships that can strengthen their projects.

It’s a chance to develop the relationship-building skills that help turn a good idea into action your community can carry forward.

Georgia girls are ambitious, capable, and poised to rise. But achievement alone doesn’t tell the full story. Today, we proudly released the 2026 State of the Georgia Girl Report, offering a clearer view of both the progress girls are making and the pressures they’re navigating.

Developed in partnership with Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, the report examines the experiences of girls across Georgia through five dimensions of wellness: physical, digital, emotional, academic, and social, while exploring what those findings ask of the adults, organizations, and communities around them.

This morning, we continued that conversation at our report release and panel discussion. Thank you to moderator Cheryl Preheim and panelists Ameya C. Agnihotri, Ilham Askia, Reneathia P. Baker, M.D., FAAP, State Sen. Elena Parent, and Jenay Sermon, Ph.D., for bringing their perspectives to what Georgia girls need to thrive.

Explore the findings, download the full report, and learn what Georgia girls need next at GeorgiaGirlScouts.org.

Due to the threat of Hurricane Isaias and its potential impact on Georgia, all Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta programs and activities scheduled for this weekend are canceled. All offices and facilities will also be closed throughout the weekend.

The safety of our Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff is our top priority. We encourage everyone to stay safe and monitor weather updates!

Volunteering is a lot easier when you have people and ideas to draw from.

Fireside Chat & Snacks Social brings Girl Scout volunteers together at Camp Timber Ridge for an afternoon to connect, trade ideas and resources, and enjoy some of the camp experiences we create for girls.

Spend time around the fire, practice fire building and safety, swap SWAPS, share camp traditions, sing a few songs, and make s’mores. You may even have the chance to explore more of Camp Timber Ridge through a tour, hike, or additional outdoor activities.

A little extra magic is waiting this Treats & Keeps season. ✨Girl Scouts have a chance to turn their hard work into an unforgettable experience.

Step into the wizarding world on Oct. 24 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Shared Reality at Cosm, complete with a specially crafted meal for two.

Or celebrate the season at The Fox Theatre with ‘Twas the Night Before... by Cirque du Soleil, a dazzling holiday experience for you and a guest on Dec. 5.

Behind every entry is the kind of practice that matters: setting a goal, reaching out, following through, and building confidence along the way.

🪄 Harry Potter: Send 18+ unique emails in M2 by Oct. 19
🎄 Cirque du Soleil: Send 18+ unique emails in M2 and sell at least 10 items by Oct. 29

One winner for each experience will be randomly selected from eligible Girl Scouts who meet the qualifying requirements by the stated deadline.

The best camp experiences often start with a volunteer who feels confident making them happen.

On Nov. 7, Outdoor Skills & Fun at Camp Timber Ridge is an opportunity to build practical skills you can actually use with your Girl Scouts.

Choose the sessions that are most useful to you, including backpacking, fire building, tent and cabin camping, outdoor cooking, knots, camp activities, and more.

You’ll leave with new ideas, stronger outdoor skills, and more confidence planning experiences where girls can try something new, take on a challenge, and have a lot of fun doing it.
