Remembering a true original and one of our Girl Scout sisters. πŸ’š

A Lifetime Girl Scout, Dolly believed in the power of confidence, kindness and possibility. She opened doors for others through her generosity, created joy for generations and showed that leadership can look like boldly being yourself while using what you have to make a difference.

Her music made her an icon. The way she lived made her a role model.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding generations of girls that so much is already within them, and that with the courage to try, they can do a whole lot. πŸ’š

No dream is too big or small for a Girl Scout! πŸ₯ŽπŸ’š Brownie Elizabeth from Troop #23019 dreams of becoming a softball player, and last weekend, her Girl Scout Day patch design made it onto the field at Truist Park!

Earlier this year, Elizabeth entered the Girl Scout Day patch design contest, and hundreds of Girl Scouts voted her design the winner. Last weekend, her winning patch was handed out to Girl Scout attendees as they marched the field ahead of the Atlanta Braves game.

Elizabeth is already showing what can happen when girls dream big and put their ideas into action. ⚾✨

What happens when you take Girl Scout sisterhood on the road? A journey filled with leadership, learning and connection. πŸš—πŸ’š

Last month, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta traveled from the Trefoil Trail in Atlanta to the First Girl Scout Headquarters in Savannah, where we met with Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia to celebrate our shared sisterhood and the upcoming Georgia Girl Scout specialty license plate, launching in January 2027.

Girl Scouts and leaders connected through hands-on experiences, badge work, conversations and plenty of road trip memories. The journey was a reminder that our councils are connected by a shared commitment to helping girls lead, grow and discover what’s possible.

We captured the journey in a three-part micro-documentary series. Catch up on the series below:

The road trip may be over, but Licensed to Lead is just getting started. The Girl Scout specialty license plate will be available in January 2027, giving Girl Scouts, families and supporters a new way to show their Girl Scout pride while supporting opportunities for girls across Georgia.
