🚒❤️ Happy National First Responders Day! ❤️🚑

Today, we recognize and thank the incredible men and women who answer the call, day or night, putting others before themselves to keep our communities safe.

Our first responders are there for us during some of life's most difficult moments. But behind every uniform is a person, a family, and challenges we don't always see.

Taking care of those who take care of us matters. ❤️

That's why the Aurora Fire Foundation is inviting our community to come together on Sunday, November 15th, for our Firehouse Chili Cook-Off & Mental Wellness Fall Festival! 🌶️🍂

📅 November 15 | 2–5 PM
📍 The Stampede | 2430 S Havana St, Aurora
🎟️ FREE Community Festival!
🌶️ $10 Chili Judging Tickets – Taste chili from Aurora Fire Rescue stations and vote for your favorite!

Bring the family, enjoy our Kids Zone, meet AFR therapy dogs, and learn more about the mental wellness resources supporting our first responders.

Proceeds will benefit Aurora Fire Rescue's Chaplaincy, Peer Support, and K9 programs through the Aurora Fire Foundation.

Our firefighters show up for us every day. On November 15th, let's show up for them!

Join us for a FREE family fall festival featuring a firehouse chili cook-off, kids' activities, therapy dogs & firefighter wellness!

We're excited to welcome Valerie Marshall Solano, Captain with Aurora Fire Rescue, as one of our breakout session speakers at the Women in Business Conference on October 21st!

With more than two decades of service in volunteer, combination, and career fire departments, Valerie has dedicated her career to leadership, mentorship, and developing the next generation of firefighters. As the Captain of Aurora Fire Rescue's Recruit Training Division and a driving force behind Camp Spark, she has helped inspire and empower young women to explore leadership opportunities and careers in the fire service.

Valerie is passionate about paying forward the lessons and investments others have made in her journey, and she'll be sharing valuable insights on leadership, mentorship, confidence-building, and creating opportunities for others to succeed.

Join us on October 21 to hear Valerie's inspiring story and learn how investing in others can create lasting impact for individuals, organizations, and communities.

🎟️ Tickets are available now on the Chamber website!

AFR is excited to share the designs for the new Station 18 that is planned to open in northeastern Aurora next year!

An adaptive reuse of the Aurora Highlands Visitor Center at 3930 E-470 will create the new fire house that will accommodate a full fire company, apparatus and resources.

It will have three drive-through apparatus bays, a state-of-the-art fitness room, three firefighter dormitories, shared bathrooms and officer quarters with an en suite bathroom.

We're looking forward to bringing this new station online in 2027 to bring fire and medical emergency response resources closer to this growing part of the city.

Today was a GREAT day at our monthly Rotary Club meeting! ❤️💙

It also marked the completion of a HUGE project years in the making!

In partnership with the Smoky Hill Rotary Club, we raised more than $156,000 to help provide the City of Aurora Fire Department with its very first Fire Safety Trailer! 🚒🔥

This trailer will be used throughout our community to provide hands-on fire safety education and help teach children and families what to do in an emergency.

It’s pretty incredible to see what can happen when Rotary Clubs, community partners, and supporters come together around one goal.
Years of planning.

More than $156K raised. One incredible resource for our communiy. 💙💛

What an incredible weekend at Camp Spark!
Watching these amazing young women step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, learn new skills, and encourage one another was truly inspiring. They proved that leadership, courage, and determination grow when you’re willing to take on new challenges.
A special thank you to the dedicated Aurora Fire Rescue firefighters who invested countless hours mentoring campers, pushing them to discover strengths they didn’t know they had, and creating an experience they’ll never forget. Your commitment to developing the next generation of leaders is extraordinary.

ASPEN ACRES FIRE: Yesterday I had the privilege of volunteering with the Aurora Fire Foundation alongside Danielle Lammon and Tim Bennett. We were able to provide a warm meal, water and supplies to those fighting the wildfire in near Pueblo as well as numerous volunteers.

Danielle and I were also able to visit the command center in Rye Colorado to ensure they were fully stocked up, as well as delivering hot meals to the Pueblo Sheriff HQ working overtime late at night.

When tragedies strike, it's important for all Coloradans to stand up and help our neighbors. "Hoy por ti, mañana por mí."

Driving through Rye was an erie experience, it was fully evacuated. Not a soul in sight.

150 buildings destroyed.

Pray for Pueblo & all the fire victims.
