🛠️ Looking back on the Dare to Repair Cafe! 55 people stopped by this wonderful event, saving a total of $4,270 by choosing to repair instead of replace.

🌱 The event diverted 322 pounds of potential landfill waste and offset 1,895 pounds of carbon — equal to 5,241 flight miles!

❤️ Thank you to The Tool Library and Manny’s Ace Hardware for donating tools and expertise. And a big congratulations to East Aurora Rotary Club and GObike who, during the event, collected over 100 bikes to be donated as part of their ReBicycle drive!

♻️ Here’s to a circular economy and giving items a second chance.

Hi waste warriors! There are lots of opportunities for reducing waste this season. Check out one of our upcoming events and get involved in free local composting. More information to come - please reach out with questions!

Starting TODAY, the Village and Town are launching a free food scrap composting program! If you reside in the Village or Town, you can now bring your food scraps to the EA Department of Public Works (on Pine St) every Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm. This is a great way to reduce waste! All accepted food waste will be brought to Erie County’s composting facility, where it will be made into nutrient-rich “black gold.” ✨♻️

Created in partnership with Erie County with support from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

Looking back on Scoot Around June…this year, we scooted more than any other year! Congratulations to everyone who scooted, and thank you to our participating local orgs. Scooting 1621 miles instead of driving prevented over 600,000 grams of carbon from entering our atmosphere, making our community a cleaner, greener place to live. See you for next year’s event, and keep on scooting!
