Happy first day of Scoot Around June!! Whether you’re biking to a participating business or just walking to see a friend, try to be intentional about how you get from one place to another this month. Choosing to walk or bike instead of drive is good for your body, the environment, and our community. So let’s get scooting! 🛴🚴‍♂️🚶🏻‍♀️🧑‍🦽‍➡️

Have you signed up for Scoot Around June yet at our link in bio? The next step in this 30-day walking and biking challenge is to start logging your miles!

🗓️ From June 1st to the 30th, you can track all your car-less miles traveled from one destination to another in the town and village. Use our Miles Logged form at the link in bio (will be posted June 1st) to track your miles and see how many you can log in a month.

🎉 There will be prizes for logging miles, and shoutouts for making it into our 10 Mile Club, 25 Mile Club, and 50 mile club!

Join ACES this Saturday at 10am for a local “trash mob” spring clean-up! Grab your gloves and a friend if you’d like, and join the effort towards a cleaner Western New York. Meet at the Hamlin Park Tennis Court Shelter, where groups will then disperse across the village. ACES will provide trash bags for those who need. Happy Earth Day!

The Town is hosting its second public info session for the Town of Aurora Comprehensive Plan. Come to East Aurora High School next Wednesday, October 22nd to browse display boards of the plan, ask questions, and provide your input. Stop by any time between 5:30 and 7:30. Help shape the future of our Town how you see fit.

Have something that needs fixing? Join us and .ea this Saturday at the Senior Center for a free repair cafe! Bring your broken items between 11am and 2pm, and representatives from the Buffalo Tool Library will help you fix them. Dare to repair and reuse! ♻️

The results are in! Thank you to everyone who signed up for, participated in, and donated to Scoot Around June! We diverted over 400 miles from being driven on the road, saving 380.47 pounds of carbon dioxide from being emitted into our atmosphere. We hope you had fun scooting and continue to choose biking and walking when you can! 🚲🚶🌳

Posing in the 4th of July parade with our electric truck and mower! The electric truck has proved an efficient choice for the highway department, who is using the truck as a pilot project for the viability of an all-electric fleet. The electric mower continues to be used to mow all of Hamlin Park - quietly!
