🎃 Halloween Fun at Sunnyside! 👻

Yesterday, we spent some time with the residents at Sunnyside filling 100 treat bags for this year's Haunted Trail!

Unfortunately, we had a few ACN volunteers out sick, so only the brave ones showed up! 😂❤️

We had a great time visiting, laughing, and getting everything ready for the kiddos!

And here's the fun part! If the weather cooperates, the Sunnyside residents will be personally handing out these treat bags to the first 100 kiddos who make their way through the Haunted Trail! 🎃

A HUGE thank you to the residents and staff at Sunnyside for helping us out!

We love bringing different generations together and getting everyone involved in our community events! ❤️

🎃 ACN Haunted Trail – Saturday, October 24th!

🎃👻 Haunted Trail Volunteers, Come Join Us! 👻🎃

We’re getting ready for the Haunted Trail and would love some extra hands!

🍬 October 11th We’ll be meeting at Sunnyside Care Center to put together candy goodie bags for the Sunnyside residents to hand out at the end of the Haunted Trail!

🌲 4:00 PM at the LPA Nature Trail Lake Park Audubon School District 2889

We’ll meet at the actual trail to walk through everything, go over plans, figure out where things will go, and start getting organized for the big night.

Come one, come all! You don’t have to be an ACN member. If you’d like to help with the Haunted Trail in any way, we’d love to have you! 🧡

🍭 Anyone who has offered to sponsor or donate items for the goodie bags, including candy, Halloween trinkets, or other goodies, please reach out to Katie or Marjorie or message us, so we can get everything coordinated!

The more hands and ideas, the better! 🎃👻

We had a great time at Lake Park Pumpkin Fest today! 🎃 Even the rain couldn't stop us from getting out and spreading the word about the ACN Haunted Trail! 👻 Thank you to everyone who helped decorate the side-by-side, ride along, walk, and help us promote the Haunted Trail. We had a blast seeing everyone along the parade route! Now we're counting down to October 24th from 6–9 PM! 🎃👻
We can't wait to see you there!

Well, our first Autumn Kickoff is officially in the books, and wow. 🧡🍂

We are SO happy with how today turned out! We had an amazing turnout, and it was so much fun seeing kids smiling, families hanging out, and our community just enjoying the day together.

The kids’ pie eating contest and pumpkin painting were a blast, and the adult pie eating contest definitely gave us some good laughs. 😂🥧 And the CORN! 🌽 We knew the kids would like it, but we had no idea just how big of a hit it would be. So next year... bigger corn pit. 😂

Between face painting, balloon animals, bouncy houses, the photo booth, Bingo, raffle baskets, contests, vendors, live music, fire trucks and everything else, there was always something going on!

Today was also our final Hometown Market of the year. Thank you to all of our vendors who showed up throughout the summer and everyone who came out to support them!

We heard from so many people today that they hope we'll do this again next year, and don't worry... we absolutely will. 🍂 We already have ideas for making it even bigger and better. I think we officially started a new Audubon fall tradition. 🧡

Even better, the money raised today is going toward the Giving Tree sponsored by Audubon Community Network, helping local kids and families this Christmas. 🎄

We also have some very special thank-yous!
🧡 A Place to Belong for partnering with us and helping provide free face painting and balloon animals!
🎨 Mira Paige for painting all those little faces, and Kayla Rae for helping with the photo booth and balloon animals!
🚒 Audubon Fire Department and Rescue Team for bringing out the trucks for the kiddos to check out. They loved it!
🍂 Mikailah Lundon for dreaming up the Autumn Kickoff and putting so much time, heart and work into making this little idea actually happen, even through the challenges along the way.
🧡 Marjorie Hughes, our ACN President, for always supporting our ideas, helping behind the scenes and giving us the opportunity through ACN to create events that bring our community together.
🧡 Kaddie Marie for always being willing to jump in, lend an extra set of hands, help get things done and provide some much-needed moral support along the way!
🎤 Christianna Rhae for so graciosuly donating an amazing voice to bring everyone together and share this wonderful 1st annual event.

And a HUGE thank you to Lake Park Audubon Elementary School for allowing us to use the school grounds and giving us a place to bring this new community tradition to life.

🎃 If your kiddo left their painted pumpkin behind, they are outside near the school's front entrance. The school graciously allowed us to leave them there for fall, but you're more than welcome to grab yours!

And finally, thank you to EVERYONE who showed up today. Whether you participated, volunteered, supported a vendor, bought raffle tickets or simply brought your kiddos out to have some fun — you helped make today what it was.

This is exactly why we do these events... bringing people together, making memories and giving back to our community. 🧡

I'd say Autumn Kickoff 2026 was a pretty darn good success. 🍂
