Energy, optimism, and pure leadership potential—this past weekend’s experience left a lasting impression.
Chris Bien shared his awe after returning from Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), highlighting the incredible character of the students, the transformation that happens over just a few days, and the importance of carrying that momentum forward into everyday life. In just one weekend, these students demonstrated kindness, growth, and a genuine desire to lead and serve.
What stood out most was the character of the students. Chris described them as some of the “nicest, kindest” young people he’s encountered—an inspiring reminder that the next generation is full of promise and heart.
Their willingness to connect, encourage one another, and fully engage in the experience created something truly special.
The transformation from Friday to Sunday was nothing short of remarkable. In just a few days, these students grew in confidence, leadership, and purpose. It’s a powerful example of what happens when young people are given the space, tools, and encouragement to discover their potential.
Finally, Chris emphasized the call to “take this, spread it, and do good.” The impact of RYLA doesn’t end when the weekend does—it’s meant to ripple out into schools, workplaces, and communities. That kind of momentum is exactly what Rotary is all about. 🌍
Moments like these remind us why investing in youth leadership matters. Whether it’s volunteering your time, mentoring a student, or supporting programs like RYLA, you have the chance to help shape future leaders.
Let’s keep that momentum going. 💡
