Southern Paws Animal Rescue is always looking for more dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our board of directors! 🐱🐶

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue that helps both cats and puppies, and we’re looking for people who share our passion for helping animals in need! ❤️

We need individuals who are willing to share ideas, help with fundraising, assist with events, and support our mission in any way they can.

You don’t have to do it all — every little bit makes a difference!

If you love animals and want to help make a difference in our community, we would love to hear from you!

Together, we can do so much more for the animals who need us!

Possum has officially found his furever home after a successful foster trial run!! 🥹❤️

Two wonderful people came in to meet him and fell in love pretty much immediately!

Possum has fit right into his new home and is already being spoiled rotten! 🏡💕

His new name is Denver, but they’re keeping Possum as a nickname! 🐾

We are so grateful they chose to adopt and give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves.

Thank you for opening your hearts and home to a rescue kitty! ❤️

Southern Paws- FOLCS is hosting a Trunk or Treat at The Logan County Animal Shelter with our friends at Vette City Jeep Club!!

📅 October 25
⏰ 4:00–7:00 PM
📍1230 Morgantown Rd., Russellville, KY

Want to decorate a vehicle and pass out candy?
Please arrive by 3:00 PM to set up.
And no, it doesn’t have to be a Jeep!
Cars, trucks, and SUVs are all welcome! 🚙🛻

Just want to enjoy the festivities?
Come on out!
We’ll have food from Dog House Dogs and desserts from Hometown Grill and Deep Fried!! 🌭🍰

There will also be a best decorated vehicle contest and a best dressed dog contest! 🏆🐶

Bring your family, your friends, and your pups for an evening of Halloween fun and community!!

Everybody needs a little Henry cuddled up in their life! 🥹💕

Henry is a 2-month-old little boy who is an absolute sweetheart!

His favorite thing in the world is cuddling with his humans.
He loves to lay on his back in your arms while you shower him with kisses! 😭💙

How could anyone resist that precious face?!

I got to be a part of something pretty cool today….

Daniel Ettinger from Keep it Humane came to Butler County to conduct a SMART training course.

Not only did we get to learn and connect with others in the animal welfare community, but we also got to be a part of something special.

Daniel has started something called the “Cattoo Challenge”

It’s a fun way to draw more attention to how important spay/neuter is, and how 2 cats can multiple into many more FAST!

Another super cool part of the challenge is that whenever someone gets their own “cattoo” done, they then get to draw a new cat to add to Daniel’s collection!!

My “Kentucky trap cat” with an ear tip is pictured below 🤣

I’m so honored to be a part of something so amazing, Forbes even did an article on it!

Why is Possum still here?!?

This sweet boy is 5-months old and looking for his forever home! 🥹❤️

This sweet boy has LOTS of that typical kitten energy and loves to explore!

His previous family told us that Possum absolutely loves being outdoors, but unfortunately, they don’t live in a safe area for that.

Possum is looking for a special home where he can safely enjoy indoor/outdoor adventures while still having a cozy place to come inside for snuggles! 🏡🐱

He deserves a life where he can explore, play, and then curl up with his favorite humans at the end of the day.

Possum has been neutered, dewormed, flea/tick treated, microchipped, and is utd on FVRCP and rabies vaccines!!❤️

The wonderful Roy Wayne’s Auto has sponsored his adoption fee, so it’s just $25!!!
