Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine's Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse

Boys & Girls Clubs' Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse serves young people, ages 6-18, who primarily come from Lewiston/Auburn communities.

Since 1995, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine's Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse has provided youth development programs for young people, especially those who need us most. Our Clubhouse is a safe place to learn, have fun and develop skills and interests that last a lifetime. Whether it’s academic help or a much needed healthy meal or snack, young people can go to their Clubhouse for the support they need to grow into great adults.

The kids stayed active all week with athletics, open gyms, and quality time together away from their phones. At the Teen Center, the week was packed with teamwork, learning, and fun. Members visited Hannaford to shop for dessert ingredients, then teamed up in Cooking Club to prepare and serve the treat to their peers. In addition to the week’s activities, the group welcomed a special visit from Mikail Hagi-Ali from Motion Driver’s Education, who talked with the kids about obtaining their driver’s licenses, their future education plans, and opportunities ahead. The kids stayed engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine excitement about their futures.

To wrap up the week, the kids will head to the Portland Art show to showcase their creative work and enjoy the experience. Stay Tuned!

Today, we celebrated AJ, a beloved member of our founded family who is headed off to Florida! 🏝️

It was a bittersweet day here at the Boys & Girls Club as we said goodbye to one of our favorite longtime staff members, AJ.💜

AJ is moving onto a new adventure in Florida, and while we are so excited for her, the Club won’t feel quite the same! From teaching the kids how to crochet and sew to always being a "fun and kind friend," AJ has truly been a cornerstone of our community.

To send her off in style, the kids put together a beautiful cactus masterpiece filled with their favorite memories and messages. As one of our members, Jayda, put it: "You are the best staff!"
AJ, thank you for being the first person to welcome so many of our members and for the endless "sass," laughs, and support you’ve given us over the years. Florida is lucky to have you!

Good luck on your next chapter, AJ! You’ll always have a home here at the Club. 💙🫶🏽

Thank you DeBlois Electric, Inc. for all your help at the Auburn Clubhouse Saturday! The cleanup for our water leak and all the landscaping in the rain was much needed. Also thank you for funding our next pizza party 🍕The kids will love it.

🌮 Taco ‘Bout a Great Time! 🌮

Yesterday was such a vibrant and delicious celebration as the Boys & Girls Club hosted our Family Taco Night for Cinco de Mayo! We were absolutely thrilled to have 45+ family members join us alongside their kids for an evening of food, community, and fun.

From the build-your-own taco bar to those incredibly creative "taco" cupcakes made by Jess, there were smiles all around the gym! It was wonderful to see our families sitting together, sharing a meal, and enjoying the festive spirit.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to make this night so special. We love seeing our Club family grow stronger one taco at a time! 💙

HOPPY Monday! 🐣🪺

We hope everyone had an eggcellent weekend!
We know our members sure did!

Before leaving the Auburn club house Friday afternoon, every member got to draw an egg. Upon opening the egg it told them either Extra Large, Large, Medium, or Small. Photoed below are all our Xl, Large, and medium winners!! They got the WHOLE BUCKET! 🧺

We are also so so proud of our Torch Club and Keystone members for hosting an incredible Easter-themed dance for the kids at the Auburn Center!

From cookies and an Easter egg hunt to dancing, egg decorating, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere—our team truly stepped up and made the event unforgettable.

Moments like these are a powerful reminder of how important it is for our teens to stay connected to where they started and to give back by mentoring the next generation. This is how we grow-together.

We’re not just hosting events—we’re building a beautiful, supportive community. 💙🐰

Someone let a leprechaun into the club last night... and he definitely made himself at home! ☘️🕵️‍♂️

From upside-down decor to gold coins in the office, the St. Patrick’s Day spirit was in full swing here at the Boys & Girls Club. We’re feeling extra lucky to have such a great group of kids and staff to celebrate with! 🌈✨

What an incredible start to the March Hoop League at the Lewiston Armory! Along with our usual programs and schedule, the BGC High School Basketball Team, led by Coach Max, picked up a big win in their first game of the season. The momentum continued with our Middle School Team, led by Coach Sean, who also came out strong with a win in their season opener!

The energy in the gym has been amazing—fans showing up, teammates supporting each other, and everyone having a great time. It’s a fantastic way to kick off the season and a great reminder of what the Boys & Girls Club is all about: teamwork, growth, and community. We’re proud of all our players for their hard work and sportsmanship. Looking forward to an awesome season ahead! 🏀⛹🏼⛹🏽‍♂️
