America celebrates 250 years of independence (1776-2026), the Rhythm & Blues Preservation Society proudly celebrates another remarkable American story:
250 Years of Black Voices in America
Celebrating the Contributions of Black Musicians in American Music History
From the spirituals that carried hope through generations to the sounds of jazz, blues, gospel, rhythm & blues, soul, funk, hip hop, house, and beyond, Black voices have helped create the soundtrack of America.
Across every state, every generation, and every stage, Black musicians, composers, songwriters, producers, DJs, educators, and preservationists have transformed our nation's culture through music that continues to inspire the world.
We honor the creativity, resilience, innovation, and enduring legacy of those whose voices have shaped American music for 250 years.
As we begin our new yearlong educational campaign, we invite you to celebrate with us by listening to the music, learning the history, sharing the stories, and preserving the culture for future generations.
Together, let's ensure that these voices continue to be heard for the next 250 years.
