Starn’s Inlet is one of those pieces of Atlantic City history that most people pass without realizing what used to be here.
Long before casinos changed the skyline, the north end of the Boardwalk near Absecon Inlet was home to Captain Starn’s — a massive seafood restaurant, amusement-style pier attraction, and gathering place that could seat hundreds of visitors at a time. It was part of the early waterfront culture that helped shape Atlantic City as a destination long before the modern era.
This print is my tribute to that earlier shoreline, the boats, the inlet community, and the working-waterfront spirit that came before the neon.
