North Quabbin Recovery Center to Host Third Annual Photo Collage Project and Window Reveal
ATHOL, MA β August 19, 2026 β The North Quabbin Community Coalition announced today that the North Quabbin Recovery Center will host its third annual Photo Collage Project in recognition of National Recovery and Overdose Awareness Month.
This year's event will feature something new: a special window exhibit reveal, featuring the theme: Recovery = Change, at the North Quabbin Recovery Center, located at 416 Main Street in Athol.
The community is invited to gather on August 31 at 11:00 a.m. to honor those in recovery, remember loved ones lost to overdose, and celebrate the hope that recovery brings.
Executive Director, Heather Bialecki-Canning shared, "We know that recovery means change, and we are proud to be part of a community that truly embraces recovery, hope, and change."
The event will include speakers, refreshments, and the unveiling of the new window display, created to honor recovery and remember those whose lives have been impacted by substance use and overdose.
International Overdose Awareness Day provides an opportunity for communities around the world to remember those lost to overdose, support those affected by addiction, and raise awareness about the importance of recovery and prevention.
The North Quabbin Community Coalition and the North Quabbin Recovery Center invite community members, families, friends, and supporters to come together for this meaningful event.
