Athens Cub Scouts

The dust has settled from the Athens fair and we are proud to share that we earned a blue ribbon on our booth at the community hall! We are still waiting to hear if we placed at all for our parade float, where our Cub Master and Scout Master “fed the bears” and were locked up!

We’d like to thank SD Ellenbecker and Jordan Decker of Top Tier Electric for their donations of supplies for our float and booth… THANK YOU!

Scouts and friends gathered around the campfire for one last “campfire and s’more” as part of our summer program. 🔥 This time, we did s’more games!

We had a relay to see whose team could keep their s’more balanced on a spatula while each member of the team made it around the racetrack… even the adults got in on the action!The kids also worked mallows, grahams and chocolate bars down their faces to see who could get them in their mouths. The heat made for some messy fun with the chocolate bars! 😆

Everyone enjoyed cooking different flavor variations of s’mores around the campfire along with hot dogs 🌭 and accompanied them with some fun campfire songs.

We hope that everyone that attended our campfires this summer had fun! We’d like to thank you for coming and hope to see you all again soon! Stay tuned for our annual Join Night info coming soon 🙂

A few weeks ago, our Scouts collected donations for our local food pantry, the Athens Caring Circle. We dropped off exactly 500 items and $161 to help those in need! THANK YOU to everyone that donated… we are so grateful for your kindness!

Last month, Pack 350 visited UWSP and stopped at their tropical conservatory, the Olson Museum of Natural history (where they participated in lots of hands on activities), the Blocher Planetarium and our last stop… Belt’s for ice cream! Not only did Scouts learn a lot, but they had fun too!
