The Athens Paddock Club

The Athens Paddock Club Athens, NY based community organization dedicated to helping the local communities thru many different fundraisers, events, and charitable works.

The Athens Paddock club was originally founded in 1975, at The Athens Hotel, by a group of local patrons. The club started as a horse betting club. The club lucked out and hit a big pot!! The men then decided to use the winnings from the bet to provide a meal to the poor and needy of Athens. The winnings were used to throw a Prime Rib dinner with all the fixings. That was just the beginning. From

there the Paddock Club expanded their donations. They put together Easter Egg hunts and other activities to benefit the children of Athens. The Athens Paddock Club was originally started as a "Gentlemans Club". 40 years later, in 2015, the first womens application was accepted, and was voted into the club, opening the door to other women in the community. The club continues to grow and prosper each year, thus furthering the mission to support the local surrounding communities in all ways possible.
