🎉 The GfH Week final tally is in!

Together in March, our community raised $27,039, providing 415 women coffee farmers with access to HPV testing and cervical cancer prevention services.

Thank you to every participating roaster, café, customer, donor, and advocate who helped make Grounds for Health Week 2026 a success.

We’re grateful for this incredible community and excited to grow the impact even further next year. 💚 Spread the good news!!

For a decade, Kenya has been an important part of the Grounds for Health story 🇰đŸ‡Ș

Together with our staff, local partners, healthcare workers, coffee cooperatives, and supporters across the coffee industry, we helped expand access to cervical cancer prevention in Nyeri County — while investing in local systems built to last.

As we transition out of direct programming, we do so with deep gratitude. This work was built through collaboration and care, and we’re proud to see it continue.

Thank you to everyone who walked alongside us over the last 10 years ❀☕ Sign up for our e-news to read more about this transition — link in stories!

For a decade, Kenya has been an important part of the Grounds for Health story — and a transition to local leadership begins this month.

Together with our dedicated staff, local partners, healthcare workers, coffee cooperatives, and supporters across the coffee industry, we helped expand access to cervical cancer prevention in Nyeri County — while investing in local systems built to last.

As we transition out of direct programming in Kenya, we do so with deep gratitude. This work was built through collaboration and a shared commitment to healthier communities, and we’re excited to see it continue.

What's next? We’re accelerating our work in Ethiopia—reaching thousands of women with HPV self-sampling this year—and preparing to expand into Latin America, bringing everything we’ve learned to new communities.

This Earth Day, sustainability must include women’s health—and the women who make the coffee industry possible đŸŒ±

Women represent 80% of the labor workforce in coffee and produce up to 50% of the world’s food (a figure that is even higher in many low- and middle-income countries). In the International Year of the Woman Farmer, their role in global agriculture is undeniable—yet many still lack access to basic healthcare.

When women have access to care, the impact strengthens entire systems: more stable livelihoods, more resilient farms and supply chains, and greater gender equity.

For companies committed to responsible sourcing, investing in women’s health is a direct investment in long-term sustainability.

Happy World Health Day — marking the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948! On this day, we honor the resilience of women everywhere—especially the farmers who nourish our communities. đŸŒ±

Through the work of Grounds for Health, we’re reminded that access to healthcare, education, and cervical cancer prevention saves lives.

Last chance to make an impact in March!

We’re in the final stretch of Lem Butler’s 10K for Her initiative. This 10K walk isn’t just symbolic—it represents the long distances many women farmers must travel just to reach a health center and access essential care.

Thanks to our walkers, we’ve raised $8,857 in March — that’s 88% of our $10,000 goal!

We’re so close to the finish line. Every dollar counts right now, and your donation can help us get there. 💙
