Please join us for our Spring Program, "Brick Wall After Brick Wall: The Search for Thomas Maness."

Thomas Maness disappeared around 1876, before his son was born. Genealogist and former journalist Elizabeth Saunders was the fourth generation looking for him. Learn how she turned her investigative skills onto her own family’s century-old missing-person case.

Thomas disappeared around age 26; did he die in an accident? Did he start a new life somewhere else? Could Thomas actually be Swain Maness, a gun-totin’ rascal rumored to have five wives in different counties? After years of brick walls and discouragement, she found new clues and an unexpected twist that reopened the search for Thomas.

You won't want to miss this local mystery.
