The Carver Arts Leadership Class, in partnership with UNCG, is inviting parents and families to join us for a special opportunity to experience the work our students have been doing.

This leadership seminar is designed to help students develop essential skills that prepare them to lead with confidence, empathy, and integrity. Through interactive activities, dialogue, and creative expression, students are learning:

• Self-awareness and personal growth through PhotoSophia
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Decision-making and responsibility
• Conflict management using restorative practices
• Community building and leadership

We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center for the unveiling of the mural honoring Clyde Foust Sr. — a man whose vision, perseverance, and love for community helped shape our future.

Your presence made the event even more special, as we celebrated not only a beautiful work of art but also the lasting legacy of a trailblazer who believed in building opportunities for all.

Special thanks to the talented artist, Emilio Marz, who brought Clyde’s story to life in such a powerful and vibrant way, and to every volunteer, supporter, and friend who made this day possible.
