Thank you to the Asheboro/ Randolph County Chamber of Commerce for recognizing GWCC

Member Monday: George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center

Located in the heart of Asheboro's East Side, the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center is a nonprofit that seeks to bring together Randolph County's diverse population through educational and artistic events.

They serve the community through grocery giveaways, voter registration drives, after-school tutoring, an after-school arts program, community forums, and special events at the GWCCEC Performing Arts Center. They also host leadership development programs including IMPACT Now, an innovative program created in partnership with RhinoLeap Productions.

Their mission is simple: to create unity and pride in our community. And they live it out every single day through programs that bring people together, invest in young people, and create opportunities that genuinely change lives.

We're proud to recognize the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center as this week's Member Monday. 💙

Ubicado en el corazón del lado este de Asheboro, el George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center es una organización sin fines de lucro que busca unir a la diversa población del Condado de Randolph a través de eventos educativos y artísticos.

🎨 Parents, Come See What Your Child Is Learning!

The Carver Arts Leadership Class, in partnership with UNCG, is inviting parents and families to join us for a special opportunity to experience the work our students have been doing.

This leadership seminar is designed to help students develop essential skills that prepare them to lead with confidence, empathy, and integrity. Through interactive activities, dialogue, and creative expression, students are learning:

• Self-awareness and personal growth through PhotoSophia
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Decision-making and responsibility
• Conflict management using restorative practices
• Community building and leadership
