The Kiwanis Club of Asheboro will be collecting school supplies from now through August 31, 2026. All supplies will go to Communities In Schools of Randolph County to be placed in the hands and backpacks of students across our county. As a club, we understand these children are our future, and we have an opportunity to play a small part in helping them succeed. As we strive to change our community one child at a time, we know one day they will be doing the same for the next generation. We hope you will join us in this mission to make the school year start well.

There will be a drop off location in Asheboro at Communities In Schools. If you aren’t able to drop supplies off and would like to make a monetary donation or need our club to pick items up, please call our club president, Seth Cashion at (336) 302-3894. The speakers for our meeting this evening were Lisa Hayworth, Executive Director of the Randolph Partnership for Children, and Kiwanian Kim Radcliffe, Director of Marketing and Community Engagement. Ronnie Pugh was recognized at our July 7 meeting for his 21 years coaching American Legion Post 45 Baseball. He has turned the head coaching duties over to longtime assistant, Andrew Connor. Presenting his plaque is club secretary, Lynn Jones. Thank you, Coach Pugh, for your many years of service.
