Meet Adam & Emilee Hoff of Hoff the Grid Homestead LLC — and yes, they’ll be right there at their table this Wednesday.
Adam and Emilee are a husband-and-wife farming team out of McEwen, Tennessee. They returned to land that’s been in Adam’s family for years, and in 2022 they started raising chickens — not to sell, just to feed their own family and get away from the factory-farmed meat system they no longer trusted. Word got out fast, and Hoff the Grid Meat Co. was born.
Here’s what they bring to the market every Wednesday:
🐔 Pasture-raised, non-GMO fed chicken — whole birds, breasts, thighs, tenderloins, drumsticks, leg quarters, and farm fresh eggs. These chickens live on open pasture and eat non-GMO feed. The difference in flavor and texture compared to grocery store chicken is something customers talk about every single week.
🐖 Heritage breed forested pork — their pigs are Gloucestershire Old Spot × Hereford, an old-world heritage breed raised in the woods on non-GMO feed. Pigs that root around and forage naturally develop rich, deep flavor that factory-farmed pork simply can’t replicate. Customers describe it as “buttery and tender, with deep old-fashioned flavor.” One person said the pork chops “melted in my mouth — like nothing I’ve ever had.”
What makes shopping with them different from any grocery store? You can look the farmer in the eye and ask exactly how your food was raised. Adam and Emilee are at their table every Wednesday, and they love talking about what they do.
Find them this Wednesday June 18 at Arrington Farmers Market — held at Delvin Farms, right here in Arrington.
