Giving back and serving others is a legacy I inherited from my parents.

They weren’t just hardworking people—they were history makers and trailblazers who believed that true success isn’t measured by what you accumulate, but by the lives you impact along the way.

They taught me and my sisters that when God blesses you, you become a blessing to someone else.

That lesson has shaped my life, my ministry, and the mission of Destiny Empowerment Enterprises, Inc. and FINALLY HOME at Rachel’s House. Every opportunity to serve, encourage, and help someone build a better future is a way of honoring the example they set before me.

Their legacy lives on every time we choose compassion over convenience, service over self, and purpose over comfort.

I pray that the work we do today inspires the next generation to become history makers and trailblazers in their own right.

Every year, young people age out of foster care and are expected to step into adulthood without the support system many of us take for granted.

No parent to call. No safe place to return to. No one to help them navigate school, employment, transportation, budgeting, housing, or the everyday responsibilities of becoming independent.

That is the gap.

FINALLY HOME at Rachel’s House was created to fill it.

We provide more than housing. We offer young women aging out of foster care a safe, stable home and the support needed to build a successful future. Through life-skills training, case management, education and workforce assistance, transportation support, mentoring, accountability, and encouragement, we help each resident move from surviving to stability and self-sufficiency.

Our goal is not simply to give a young woman a room. It is to help her develop the confidence, skills, resources, and support system she needs to thrive.

But we cannot do this work alone.

Starting today, we are asking our community to give.

And the TEXAS HEAT IS NOT LETTING UP!

With temperatures over 100 degrees - one of our AC units at Finally Home at Rachel’s House has completely gone out...
just as young people are arriving to begin a new chapter.
