Hello Bengal Families! Don’t forget to join our PTA today! Come see us at our membership table tonight at open house or sign up now at www.Joinpta.org

Your membership helps us provide unique programs and support for our students and staff. Last year we were able to bring programs like Canine Companions, Monkey See Monkey Do Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, Lego Night, and Game Night to our campus. We were also able to provide our staff with various teacher appreciation days with a coffee cart, hot chocolate bar, dessert bar, and a raffle during teacher appreciation week. We couldn’t have done it without you and hope to keep the same momentum going this year.

We’re also looking for a few more board members to fill positions like fundraising, beautification, hospitality, and social media. If you’re interested in being in the board please reach out!

Su afiliación nos ayuda a ofrecer programas únicos y a brindar apoyo a nuestros estudiantes y al personal. El año pasado pudimos traer a la escuela programas como *Canine Companions*, el zoológico interactivo de animales exóticos *Monkey See Monkey Do*, la Noche de Lego y la Noche de Juegos. También pudimos organizar varias actividades de reconocimiento para el personal, incluyendo un carrito de café, una estación de chocolate caliente, una mesa de postres y un sorteo durante la semana de agradecimiento a los maestros. No habríamos logrado nada de esto sin ustedes y esperamos mantener el mismo entusiasmo este año.

También buscamos algunos miembros más para la junta directiva que ocupen cargos relacionados con la recaudación de fondos, el embellecimiento de las instalaciones, la hospitalidad y las redes sociales. Si les interesa formar parte de la junta, ¡por favor contáctennos!

We are so excited for Principal Turner to lead our campus this year!

🎉 Arlington ISD is excited to announce LaToya Turner as the new principal of Burgin Elementary!

Turner has been a dedicated leader at Burgin since 2020, serving as assistant principal and building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while supporting student achievement and campus success.

Throughout her career, Turner has also served as principal of the Morton, Burgin, and Amos Summer Learning program, testing coordinator, Gifted and Talented specialist, principal intern, and classroom teacher.

👏 Please join us in congratulating Principal Turner as she begins this new leadership role at Burgin Elementary.
