Vic Jones Foundation and Partners Mark World Breast Cancer Awareness with Community Screening

In commemoration of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Vic Jones Foundation, in collaboration with other partners, today carried out a free breast and cervical cancer screening for women at Firo Community, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, Bauchi State.

The exercise aimed to promote early detection, raise awareness, and empower women with vital knowledge on cancer prevention and self-care practices. Dozens of women from the community were screened and sensitized on the importance of routine checkups.

The Vic Jones Foundation remains dedicated to promoting community health, preventive care, and awareness, ensuring that no woman is left behind in the fight against cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness Sensitization in Gudum Hausawa Community, Bauchi LGA.

As part of the activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), the Alheri-Ys Foundation, in partnership with VIC Jones Care Foundation and Chongsquare Women and Children Development Foundation , carried out a Breast Cancer Awareness Sensitization at Gudum Hausawa Community, Bauchi Local Government Area.

The sensitization exercise focused on:
• Encouraging self-breast examination
• Promoting regular medical screening
• Highlighting the importance of early detection and timely treatment
• Creating awareness to dispel myths and misconceptions about breast cancer

The outreach witnessed active participation from women, youths, and community leaders, who engaged meaningfully in discussions and expressed appreciation for the health information provided.

This activity is part of the Foundation’s ongoing Pink October Campaign, aimed at raising awareness, promoting preventive health practices, and educating communities to reduce the risk of breast cancer.
