Lions District 2-X1 | Lions Clubs International

Today was about more than just a holiday, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community shows up for one another.

Being out at the Grand Prairie MLK Parade today, you could really feel the pride and purpose in the air. Our DFW Cyber Lions Club was honored to walk alongside so many great organizations and see the impact of collective action firsthand. We loved getting to support our very own Lion Lonneka Taiwo and the Lo’s Jewel Foundation, and it was great to welcome the Dallas United For Good Org and Frank Mesina to the mix! Seeing the kids dancing and the energy from the crowd made the whole experience even better. Special shoutout to our Lions District 2-X1 Governor Kedar Timalsina for lending us his truck!

Connecting with our local elected officials, police officers, and community leaders really drove home the message of the day: progress happens when we work side-by-side. With over 100 organizations participating, today proved that we’re at our best when we’re united. We wrapped things up with a great celebration at the Dalworth Rec Center, which was the perfect way to head into the afternoon.

A huge thank you to the NAACP for organizing this and creating a space for us to reflect and move forward together. The parade might be over, but the work, and the service, continues every day.

🦁 DFW Cyber Lions Club | Focused on 2026

If you are looking to serve the community, join us!

As we enter the second half of the Lions Year 2025–2026, our focus is clear. 2026 is about building with intention, strengthening our foundation, and expanding our impact at every level.

Internally, our priorities include:
• Strengthening membership engagement and leadership development
• Building out a strong Alpha Leos (age 12-18) and Omega Leos (age 18-30) pipeline to mentor the next generation of servant leaders
• Supporting the launch and success of branch clubs to extend service capacity and reach niche groups

Externally, we are committed to:
• Setting the foundations to launch and support sponsored Lions and Leo clubs
• Actively supporting District and Lions Clubs International campaigns
• Partnering with and uplifting strategic nonprofit partners aligned with service, leadership, and community impact

DFW Cyber Lions Club exists to be a connector, a builder, and a multiplier for good. As a cyber-based club, we are uniquely positioned to support Lions locally, across the district, and globally by bringing people, resources, and ideas together in service.

2026 is about alignment, leadership, and legacy. If you’re ready to grow, serve, and help others do the same, there’s room at the table.
