Serving Our Community Through Citizenship and Civic Empowerment

On June 27, members of the DFW Cyber Lions Club joined Lion Alfonso Franco and Proyecto Inmigrante ICS, Inc. for a Citizenship Clinic in Grand Prairie.

Lions Marilyn Alagaban, Alma De La Torre, and Conrad Alagaban helped support the clinic as community members received assistance from Proyecto Inmigrante’s team with citizenship forms, legal guidance, and study materials.

This clinic was especially meaningful because it was the final clinic supported under the current funding. The funding may have ended, but the community’s need has not.

We are now beginning conversations with influential Lions and Rotarians to develop broader community partnerships and explore an August fundraiser.

We are proud to support Lion Alfonso Franco and the dedicated Proyecto Inmigrante team as they help families navigate the path toward citizenship and fuller participation in the American Dream.

Thank you to every volunteer, professional, and community partner who helped make this clinic possible.

The DFW Cyber Lions Club recently gathered for an evening of celebration, reflection, and anticipation as members recognized outstanding achievements from Lion Year 2025–2026 and installed the leadership team that will guide the club into the new year.
We extend our sincere appreciation to District Governor Elect Gary Vineyard for conducting the installation of officers and to our Guiding Lion, Past District Governor Esmeralda Rodriguez, whose mentorship and support have played an instrumental role in the continued success and development of our club.

On behalf of the DFW Cyber Lions Club , thank you to everyone who helped make our Lion Community Health Screening Day a tremendous success.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, we partnered with the Collin Athena Lions Club, Lions Sight and Tissue Foundation of Texas, Dallas Research Institute, The Life Church of Grand Prairie, and numerous community organizations to provide vital health services to our community.

This event brought together Lions, healthcare professionals, students, church leaders, nonprofit partners, community advocates, and volunteers with one common purpose: improving the health and well-being of our neighbors.

A special acknowledgment goes to Lion Rose Shrestha, whose early leadership helped make this event possible.

For participants who ordered prescription glasses, we are currently coordinating production and delivery. Once the glasses are received, we will announce pickup details through the DFW Cyber Lions Club. We anticipate distribution in July and will provide additional updates as information becomes available.

Many attendees also expressed interest in learning more about Lions Clubs and community service opportunities. We are excited to follow up and continue building a network of people who are committed to serving others and strengthening our communities.

This event demonstrated what is possible when service organizations, healthcare providers, community leaders, and volunteers come together to address real needs in our community.

From selling ducks, cheering on the race, collecting ducks in the water, and celebrating the winners, this was another reminder of what happens when Lions serve together.
