S.T.A.N.D Organization Vision: the vision of STAND Organization is to help women, men and teens overcome their hurt and ang We have a program called "Born with a Purpose".

We help them with employment, assist them in getting their GED or should they desire to go back to school, we provide the counseling they need after they leave the shelter, we help them built a budget, show them how to write a resume, we help with furnishing their new home and we help with tutoring for the teens. Its a mentorship program with men and women volunteers that come and volunteer their time to impact a youth that is currently in the shelter and assumes the responsibility to ensure that they stay on a positive path. This program is for the age group 8-18 years old. We have a program called Finding Yourself this program is geared both men and women and it helps them with their self esteem, helps them with job searches, self respect, with trust issues, and teaching them how to living after the abuse. We also host a 10/5K Run/Walk in Arlington TX to promote Domestic Violence Awareness. During our events we also honor a victim that has overcome or lost their life behind Domestic Violence. We also host a Co-Ed Softball tournament in Houston TX.

WHEN WILL IT STOP?
One out of every three women experiences physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. Millions of women are affected by domestic violence, and young women are among those at significant risk.
But the question we must continue asking is WHEN WILL IT STOP?
How many more women have to suffer before we stop being silent? How many more families must be affected before we recognize that domestic violence is not just an October conversation? It is a year-round issue that deserves our attention.

According to the CDC’s 2023/2024 data, more than 1 in 3 women (34%, nearly 43.5 million) in the United States have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

It is time to stop normalizing abuse, overlooking warning signs and staying silent.
We must teach our daughters and sons what healthy relationships look like. We must educate our young people, recognize the warning signs, support survivors and create safe spaces for those who need help.

Through S.T.A.N.D. – Together Against Nationwide Domestic Violence, our mission is to educate, empower, bring awareness and help break the cycle of abuse.
We cannot change what we refuse to talk about.
October cannot be the only month we speak up. Awareness must be year-round.
Let’s be the voice for those who feel they have no voice. Let’s stand together. Let’s break the cycle.
