🐱💙 NORMAN NEEDS A SOFT PLACE TO LAND 💙🐱

At 10 years old, Norman should be spending his days napping in a sunny window, enjoying gentle pets, and living the quiet life every senior cat deserves.

Instead, this sweet boy has been waiting at Arlington Animal Services for more than two weeks.

Norman is a Very Important Pet (VIP) because he’s a senior cat currently showing symptoms of an upper respiratory infection. While he’s receiving care, what he truly needs is a calm, loving home where he can rest, recover, and finally relax.

Shelters can be stressful places, especially for older cats. Every extra day can be hard on a senior who simply wants peace, comfort, and someone to love him.

Norman may not be a playful kitten, but what he offers is something just as special: quiet companionship, gratitude, and a heart full of love.

8 Things You Can Do to Protect Your Dog in the Summer:

1. Never, ever leave your dog in the car.

2. Make sure your dog has unlimited access to fresh water.

3. Make sure your dog has access to shade when outside.

4. Take walks during the cooler hours of the day.

5. When walking, try to stay off of hot surfaces (like asphalt) because it can burn your dog's paws.

6. If you think it's hot outside, it's even hotter for your pet - make sure your pet has a means of cooling off.

7. Keep your dog free of external parasites (fleas, ticks) and heartworms - consult your veterinarian about the best product for your pet.

8. Groom your pet (as appropriate), and apply sunscreen to your dog's skin if he or she has a thin coat.

🚨💔 FOUR MORE DOGS. ONE DEADLINE. TODAY AT 6 PM. 💔🚨

Today, we’re asking you to stop scrolling for just a moment.

Four wonderful dogs have spent weeks waiting for someone to choose them. Together, they have accumulated more than 150 days in the shelter. Despite being loving, deserving companions, they remain without homes.

Now, they urgently need adopters, fosters through rescue partners, or rescue commitments by 6pm TODAY, June 17th, 2026.

A beautiful Pit Bull Terrier mix with so much love to give.
