Shelter2Rescue Coalition is a non profit, all volunteer supported rescue. We focus primarily on rural Texas shelters We can't hear that too much!

Shelter2Rescue Coalition is an all-volunteer rescue organization dedicated to the safe-rehoming of shelter animals. We started as a rescue facilitation organization, helping rural shelters publicize their at-risk dogs and cats, thereby dramatically reducing the need to euthanize for space. Then, as we worked with more shelters, it became very apparent that if we could just buy the dogs or cats up

for euthanasia just a little more time, you could save even more lives. The 72-hour hold limit at most shelters just wasn't enough for most dogs/cats to get out. Therefore, we expanded and built partnerships with boarding facilities, transport organizations and other nationwide rescues in order to be able to provide a temporary safe haven for dogs out of time. We have our own Shelter2Rescue Coalition adoption program. Our main program with our rural shelters is NoKill Rural Texas,found on FB. Since June 2006, through facilitation and adoption, Shelter2Rescue Coalition volunteers have saved over 7000 dogs and cats, the number grows as we do. We do our best to match up potential adopters with just the right pet as we want to ensure a lifelong placement for the rescued animal. Our adoption process includes an initial application, with reference and vet checks, home visit when able. If the match is a good one, we then have an adoption contract that is executed. We have a commitment not only to our adopted dogs and cats, but also to the families that adopt them, and we are always available to help with the transition to a new home. We check in during the first few weeks to answer any questions or help with any issues - or to just give you someone to brag to about your new baby.

At 5 years old and about 50 pounds, Nori is the perfect blend of playful companion and professional snuggle buddy.

This sweet Pit Bull mix can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up beside you and become your most loyal friend. Nori loves other dogs, does great with children, rides well in the car, and enjoys being wherever her people are.

She's already crate-trained and house-trained, so she's ready to skip the puppy chaos and go straight to being your best friend.

🐾 Meet Duke 🐾

Duke is a handsome 6-month-old Australian Shepherd who is growing into a happy, healthy young boy and is ready to find a family of his own through Shelter2Rescue.

This sweet guy is neutered, vaccinated, and full of love. Duke has a wonderful personality and enjoys being with his people. Like any young pup, he's still learning the ropes and will need a family committed to helping him become the amazing companion he's meant to be.

• Walking nicely on a leash
• Basic puppy manners and commands

Hix is one of those dogs that just gets along with so many people and dogs. He has been with us for a while, but he is loved by so many volunteers and fosterers.

🐾 June is Here... and So Many Cats & Dogs Still Need Us 🐾
As we begin a new month, Shelter2Rescue is setting a simple but important goal:
To help as many cats and dogs as possible find the loving homes they deserve.
Right now, shelters across Texas are beyond full. Rescues are stretched to their limits. Every day, wonderful animals are waiting for someone to choose them, foster them, advocate for them, or simply give them a chance.
Behind every kennel door is a life that matters.
A scared dog hoping for a family.
A kitten waiting for a safe place to grow.
A senior pet longing for one more chance at love.
We cannot do this alone.
🏡 We need foster homes.
❤️ We need adopters.
📢 We need people willing to share posts and spread the word.
The need has never been greater, but neither has our determination.
