Mavs for UNICEF, is a registered organization of the University of Texas at Arlington and the US Fund for UNICEF. Mavs for UNICEF was founded in 2007 by five students – Adri Soriano, Sahil Dua, Calla Gentiles, Nchopia Nwokomo and Sharon Hernandez - to support the United Nations Children's Fund and its efforts around the world. The goal of Mavs for UNICEF is to educate, advocate and raise funds to

foster healthy and improved lives and through providing essential sustenance, vaccines, education, and emergency supplies to children and their families in our local and global communities.

Our next general meeting is TOMORROW Friday, March 21, from 12:10 pm to 12:50 pm in Trimble Hall Room 115. At the meeting, we will be talking about upcoming events: Tap Water Project, Voices not Victims, and 2014-2015 Officer Selection.

2014-2015 Officers: Positions available are President, Senior VP, VP of Fundraising, VP of Marketing/Recruitment, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian and Webmaster. If you are interested in running, TODAY is the last day to submit application forms for Secretary Treasurer, Historian, and Webmaster and the speeches will be given TOMORROW.

The application forms for President, Senior VP, VP of Fundraising and VP of Marketing/ Recruiting need to be submitted by April 3rd and the speeches will be given on April 4th.

Proper Interview Etiquette Seminar with Danyelle Keenan is opened to all students who are planning on or already seeking new employment opportunities, as well as general knowledge for future and current professionals in the interviewing process. The seminar contains four parts which has the date and time as shown below:

Wednesday, 03/19 "Before the Interview" - COBA 608 (11:30 - 1:00PM)
Tuesday, 04/01 "During the Interview" - COBA 609 (2:00 - 3:30PM)
Tuesday, 04/08 "After the Interview" - COBA 609 (2:00 - 3:30PM)
Tuesday, 04/15 "How to Get Fired" - COBA 609 (2:00 - 3:30PM)

PIZZA and DRINKS will be provided!

Hello Unicef members,

Minor update. Our original place for the Special Olympics offered for the Big Event has been taken. We are still able to register our time at the same event helping put on the Special Olympics Spring Games, but it is for individual registration. If you are still interested, please do sign up using the link provided below ASAP, as we don't want the same mishap to happen again. We apologize for the inconvenience but we would still love for all of you guys to come join us for a great event! This will be a great opportunity for us to know you all on a personal level as well going out there and having fun with the kids!

Global citizens at the UNICEF Experience Dallas, a celebration of UNICEF’s lifesaving work for children around the world. The February 28 event featured hands-on exhibits that transported attendees to the field and gave an up-close look at UNICEF programs and supplies. Over $366,000 was raised this year through UNICEF Experience Dallas - a new record!
