To qualify to be a member, please review our constitution Article VI Section 2 (New membership) before you apply.

SECTION 2. NEW MEMBERSHIP

1. New applicants shall be contributing non- refundable application and enrollment fees as determined by the board.

2. Membership is open to the whole Gusii community who share and support the organization’s vision, mission, abide by its constitution and must be over 18 years of age.

3. Any person who wants to join the organization shall be on probation, pending approval for a period of three months from end of registration date in order to be eligible for any form of assistance. However, he/she will be required to contribute with other members in case of a problem during the probation period.

4. A new member is required to read the constitution carefully, ask any questions or issues pertaining to the constitution and code of conduct and sign a memorandum of the organization.

5. If you are not Omogusi but married in Gusii Land, your husband must be a member for you to qualify for membership.

Hello members,
GICO registration ends on March 31st, 2020, if you know anyone who wants to join please let them know. Also, AGM is the last week of March but because of the COVID 19, we are cancelling this year's meeting. AGM is where we meet the new members and educate them on how this group works. As a member, please step in and help the person you referred.

1. Advice them that they will be on probation for three months. Benefits start July 1st.

2. They will continue contributing while on probation.

3. If they deposit money after the due date, they will be on probation for another 3 months. If they lose a loved one while on probation, they will not receive the benefits.
4. They need to send an email to [email protected]. Please have them put their First, last name and type "New Member" on the subject line. This will help us add them to a group.
5. if they have any question to call the GICO number 817-609-1071.
We want to thank each and every one of you for the support even though we had a rough 2019.

Hi GICO members, as you're all aware meetings are being restricted due the current outbreak of COVID_19. AS GICO team safety of our members is our top priority. As new developments continue to unfold regarding this pandemic situation, we wanted to inform you that we will not have our physical Annual General Meeting, renewal and registration at the end of March as our routine. However renewal for old members & Registration for new members is ongoing untill March 31st, We will communicate at later dates if anything changes accordingly.

We are saddened to announce the death of Mr. Thomas Ongesa, who has been a leader and serving our community for years. As a community we ask you to please visit this family (1415 Seely St, Arl. TX 76018), they need our warmth, support and most importantly prayer to guide them through this difficult time.

On Saturday (7/20/19), there will be a celebration of his life at Havana Hall (714 N. Watson Rd suit ) starting at 7p. Members if you have time, please join the family as they remember what he had done for most of us in the community, a brother, an uncle, a son and a family man.

From the GICO community, we want to thank each and every one of you for the support (financial and spiritual) to the brothers/sisters who have lost their loved ones. May God return all back to you abundantly.
