The Water in the Birdbath out in full sun is probably over 90°. The water from the hose is 70° or cooler coming from the ground. Put the sprinkler to water under the shade trees and the birds arrived for a cooling shower. The Carolina Chickadees hopping around. The Downy Wood Pe**er looking for a meal, a cool shady spot. My timer said to move the the water over to the next tree and they followed. The hummingbirds were a bit more hesitant. As they are less trusting as they danced through the Airborne droplets. They payed me no mind until
I moved the water. But they will be back. Everyone needs a cool break in the heat.

Happy July 4th 250!
A real milestone for any Government to serve in peace. It hasn't always been easy, it hasn't always been cheap.
Our Forefathers knew the meaning of sacrifice and that they did . They volunteered at a moments notice. The Minutemen, The Doughboys, The G.I.Joes they all layed down their lives for freedom. But they were far from the only ones, the Buffalo Soldiers, and many other unsung heroes laid down their lives at the footsteps of freedom. So let enjoy they day. Then let's be worthy of their sacrifice. Patriotism isn't just being brave. It is being kind to your neighbors . Feeding the poor. Helping the needy. We are blessed. Don't just be blessed be a blessing...that is the way our forefathers did it. God Bless America

Water your Larval plants. Now is the time butterflies are laying eggs. The Caterpillars need thick healthy plants to eat. Mix those plants in with plants they won't eat. They are plant specific for each species so your other plants should be safe. Soon you will have an aerial ballet in your yard. If you grow them they will come!
