The museum features exhibitions meant to inspire, challenge and educate our audiences. Additionally, we present a variety of companion programming that includes lecture series, poetry slams and Saturday workshops for both adults and children that are all designed to enhance the overall exhibit and present visitors with a more comprehensive experience. Exhibitions typically run from 3 months for our summer blockbusters, to 5 to 8 weeks for our smaller exhibits in the spring and fall.

‘Arlington 150: Stories of a Legacy’ opens October 17th. Come view 150 years of art and history of our great city (including the mascot of our 4th of July parade!).

Admission is just $10. Runs through February 28th.

"They are placed within broader narratives about history, culture, national identity, memories, and emotions of millions of fans. Therefore, viewers come not only to see a famous jersey but also to be drawn into the stories behind soccer.

It's noteworthy that the museum was very flexible in its choice of themes. The World Cup was the most talked-about event, and the museum immediately found a way to incorporate that theme into its exhibition space so that even someone who rarely visits museums but loves football could find a reason to enter. From this, we can see that modern museums don't necessarily have to tell familiar stories in a fixed way. Events, trends, or societal concerns can absolutely become a "gateway" to guide the public."

150 years of history including 60 year old original costumes from Arlington’s rich history on display starting October 17th at The Arlington Museum of Art.

Miss Persis Studio opened in 1954. In 1973, the “Potluck Players” formed in the studio’s Potluck Room and became Theatre Arlington!

Persis Ann Forster herself spent four years directing and choreographing Six Flags’ Crazy Horse Saloon Show.

Miss Persis Studio still fosters a love for the arts today 72 years later.
