The Michael Wilkinson Foundation

To honor our loved one, Michael, we hope to provide hope and opportunity in the fight against substance abuse, and to help change the stigma of addiction.

Why we started this foundation? The Michael Wilkinson Foundation was established in 2016. Michael was born June 27, 1990, and attended primary, secondary and high school in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Martin High School in 2008. His passions included art, music, writing and skateboarding. He had an infectious sense of humor, warm and caring heart and always had a way of making others laugh

. He was a kind and loving person who was always willing to help others in need, but was ultimately unable to help himself in battling the demon that is addiction. After a 2+ year-long battle with op**te addiction and multiple periods in rehabilitation facilities, Michael lost his fight at the young age of 25 on November 9, 2015. This is one of many tragedies and another sad statistic that has become all too common in this era we refer to as an “op**te epidemic.” As his family, we created this foundation in Michael’s memory to offer hope to others.

🏌️‍♂️ 8th Annual Michael Wilkinson Foundation Golf Tournament 🏌️‍♀️

Mark your calendars and join us on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Shady Valley Country Club for a day of golf that makes a real difference in our community.

Over the past 8 years, the Michael Wilkinson Foundation has provided more than $350,000 toward college scholarships, substance abuse recovery programs, and assistance for those in need throughout our community.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR’S TOURNAMENT! ⚠️

📝 Registration Begins: 9:30 AM
⛳ Shotgun Start: 11:30 AM

These times are different from previous years, so please plan accordingly and help us spread the word!

As always, the tournament format will be a Captain’s Choice Scramble, making it a fun and competitive day for golfers of all skill levels.

We are still accepting sponsorships and hole recognition signs for those looking to support this incredible cause while gaining visibility for their business.

Every swing helps support scholarships for Arlington ISD students, substance abuse recovery initiatives, and community assistance programs.

🎓 Another school year is officially in the books, and what an incredible year it has been for The Michael Wilkinson Foundation!
