The Michael Wilkinson Foundation

To honor our loved one, Michael, we hope to provide hope and opportunity in the fight against substance abuse, and to help change the stigma of addiction.

Why we started this foundation? The Michael Wilkinson Foundation was established in 2016. Michael was born June 27, 1990, and attended primary, secondary and high school in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Martin High School in 2008. His passions included art, music, writing and skateboarding. He had an infectious sense of humor, warm and caring heart and always had a way of making others laugh

. He was a kind and loving person who was always willing to help others in need, but was ultimately unable to help himself in battling the demon that is addiction. After a 2+ year-long battle with op**te addiction and multiple periods in rehabilitation facilities, Michael lost his fight at the young age of 25 on November 9, 2015. This is one of many tragedies and another sad statistic that has become all too common in this era we refer to as an “op**te epidemic.” As his family, we created this foundation in Michael’s memory to offer hope to others.

🎓 Another school year is officially in the books, and what an incredible year it has been for The Michael Wilkinson Foundation!

We are proud to announce that we have awarded 8 Arlington seniors with $2,500 scholarships to help support them as they begin the next chapter of their lives. These students have worked incredibly hard, and we are honored to recognize their dedication, perseverance, and achievements. ❤️

⛳️🏌️‍♀️ What. A. Day. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Our 7th Annual Golf Tournament was nothing short of amazing! From the first tee to the final putt, it was a day filled with sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of heart. 💚

Because of YOU, our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers, we raised over $40,000! 🙌

💰 $10,000 went to Mission Arlington
💰 $10,000 went to Simply Grace
🎓 And the remaining $20,000 is funding eight $2,500 scholarships for students in Arlington ISD!

We couldn’t have done it without your continued support and generosity. You make this community stronger every year. 💪

What an incredible day we had this past Monday, October 13th at our 7th Annual Golf Tournament! As always, you showed up and showed out! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

We had an amazing turnout, great weather, and even better company. From our generous sponsors to our dedicated volunteers and every single player who joined us, we could not have done this without you! Your support keeps our mission alive year after year, and we’re truly grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️
