Good nutrition does not need to look complicated. 🍽️

A simple meal can include:

• A protein food, such as chicken, fish, eggs, beans or tofu.

• Vegetables or fruit.

• A carbohydrate, such as rice, potato or bread.

• A drink that follows the person’s care plan.

When appetite is reduced, smaller nourishing meals offered more often may be easier.

Respect culture, personal preferences and swallowing guidance. Follow the person’s prescribed food texture, drink consistency and any individual dietary or fluid instructions.

Record and report ongoing poor intake or unplanned weight change to the clinical team.

Good meal support at home brings safety, nourishment and choice together.

Behind every parent asking questions is a child they love. My heart is with the families still searching for answers, and I hope this initiative brings the careful research and compassionate care they’ve been waiting for.

Families should be heard, fully informed, and free to choose the care that is best for their loved ones.
