🎊 Last week was full of celebration as we celebrated Rev. Marcus’ birthday and the opening of Mama Goose! We were blessed to be in worship alongside as we had a conversation of purpose and faith.

You don’t want to miss out on tonight’s dinner and worship! Come hang with us at 6pm for food, and stay for a word on how grace surrounds and abides.

🎊 Thank you to everyone who showed up and out this past Friday to celebrate Día de los Mu***os with us!

We had a blast sharing in food, music, dance, conversation, and art as we remembered our loved ones who have gone ahead of us. What a gathering of community and celebration! We can’t wait to do it again next year.

🫵🏼 Until then— we’ll see ya tomorrow night for Tuesday night dinner & worship at 6PM!

We praise God for how Pastor Loni from First UMC Arlington led our final discussion of this civility series! We discussed what privilege and justice look like as Christians, particularly as young adults in 2024.

📖 Scriptures: John 15:13, Micah 6:8, Philippians 2:3-4,

As we go through the next week, may we be reminded of what Kaitlyn Schiess from “Liturgy of Politics” had written: “Loving our neighbors well requires more than personal piety; it requires making our society a place where the vulnerable are cared for and the oppressed find justice.”

🎉 We’ll see you tomorrow (Thursday) for the Comida y Cultura discussion at 12pm, and on Friday at 6pm for a celebration for Día de Los Mu***os!

of a hectic week with us on Friday night! We are blessed to collaborate with organizations and departments in this night of remembrance, life, and community. We were blessed in worship this past Tuesday with Rev. Josh Esparza from First UMC Allen preaching a word for us! We learned about how being led by curiosity fosters empathy and cultivates connection.

If you’d like to refresh on our grounding text, check out John 6:1-14.

As we go through the rest of this week, may we remember that as Christians, we are invited to step back, bear witness to the Spirit (and opportunities) around us, and to invite others on the journey.

Until next time, let us know your thoughts, prayer requests, and any ways we can support you!

October’s weekends have been packed with retreat and fellowship:

1.) We carpooled down to Glen Lake Camp & Retreat for their 85th Celebration! We enjoyed a day of fun and gathering.
2.) Caught a glimpse of our theatre friends’ talents and work at Room Service
3.) welcomed us in worship and food as we heard Rev. Marcus preach
4.) After worship at Commerce, getting to visit and learn about their own Wesley happenings. God is evident and working through them!

These things, and more. We thank God everyday that we are able to grow in Christ as a community. 🧡💙
