As National Hazing Prevention Week comes to a close and Domestic Violence Awareness Month begins, we are reminded of the responsibility we share to create communities grounded in respect, safety, and human dignity.

With sexual assault once again making headlines within the fraternal world, we believe it is important to reaffirm our values as a leadership recognition organization. At the heart of those values is something simple but essential: human decency and how we choose to treat one another.

Our longstanding position statements addressing hazing, alcohol and drug abuse, and sexual misconduct are available on our website. We encourage our members and partners to review these statements and, most importantly, to reflect on the responsibility each of us has to foster environments where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and care.

As an organization dedicated to recognizing LEADERS, we’re proud to partner with Hazing Prevention Network to reinforce a simple truth: prevention starts with leadership.

Be the leader who chooses education over tradition.
Be the leader who speaks up.
Be the leader who drives real change.

How are you fostering a safe, supportive culture in your community year-round?

National Hazing Prevention Week is a powerful reminder that hazing has no place in Greek life—and it was never part of your founders’ vision.

Honor your organization’s true history by taking a stand. There are countless ways for chapters to lead the movement for safer campuses this week and beyond.
