The Pre-Law Society was proud to serve as a partner for the Black History Month celebration hosted by the Student Association for Macro Social Work at UTA. Several members of our Executive Board were in attendance to support this impactful event.

The program featured distinguished speakers from the DFW Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., the Dallas Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers, and the Black Academy of Arts and Letters.

We are incredibly proud of President Natasha Salas, Assistant Sai Thatraju, and Social Media Director Tobi Ibidamitan for their leadership and commitment in helping make this celebration possible.

Our Vice President, Alexander Samuel, and Fundraising Chair, Amaziah Bowers, had the honor of attending the renaming ceremony of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Tarrant County in recognition of former Justice Maryellen Hicks.

Justice Hicks’ impact on lawyers, elected officials, and legal professionals across Tarrant County is immeasurable, and it was truly inspiring to witness so many of them gathered to celebrate her legacy.
