It’s never as easy as “just leave.”

For many domestic violence survivors, leaving means weighing questions most of us never have to consider: Where will my children sleep? What happens if he finds me? How will I pay the bills? Will anyone believe me? Will leaving make the abuse worse?

One year ago today, we introduced you to The Archway. 💜

It was a new name, a new look, and a new chapter for an organization that has been standing with survivors of domestic violence in Tarrant County for 50 years.

And what a year it’s been.

While a lot has changed, the most important things never did: who we serve, why we’re here, and our commitment to showing up for survivors every single day.

Here’s to one year as The Archway and 50 years of opening doors to safety and a path forward.

Want a 1 in 100 chance to win a private villa getaway in Cabo?? 🌴🎟️

Golden Ticket is officially open! We’re selling just 100 tickets for $100 each, and one winner (and up to seven guests!) will receive a three-night stay at Villa Dos Vistas, a 6,700-square-foot private villa overlooking Cabo San Lucas.

The stay includes four primary suites, arrival transportation, welcome drinks, pre-arrival vacation planning and 24/7 concierge service.

And the best part of all? 100% of proceeds provide immediate safety to families right here in Tarrant County who are escaping abuse at home.

We’ll draw the winner at Purple Party on October 16, but you do not have to be present to win. Once all 100 tickets are sold, Golden Ticket is closed. And we have a feeling that might happen pretty quickly. 😉

Will you join us this Domestic Violence Awareness Month in remembering the 13 lives Tarrant County lost to domestic violence in 2025? 💔🙏

Today, we release the 2025 Tarrant County Intimate Partner Violence Fatality Review Report.

Each year, the Fatality Review Team looks closely at intimate partner homicides in our county to understand what happened before each death, identify patterns and missed opportunities for intervention, and use what we learn to help prevent future tragedies.

Behind every finding is a person. A family. Children, parents, siblings and friends whose lives were forever changed by domestic violence. This report honors those lives by asking what their deaths can teach us and how, together, we can prevent the next one.

Survivors deserve more than just a life they can survive. 💜🧡

You deserve peace. Joy. Choices that are yours to make. Dreams that stretch further than tomorrow. A home where you can exhale. A future you're excited to live.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and all month long we're talking about what survivors deserve.

Yes, you deserve safety.

But at The Archway, we believe that safety is just the bare minimum. You deserve to figure out what you want your life to look like, and then have the support to build it.

Purple Party has sold out the last four years, so if you’ve been waiting for your chance to join us, this is it.

Ready to secure your spot? Just let us know below.

We can't wait to party with you!

🚨 We desperately need 18 air mattresses in the next 7 days. 🚨

Our emergency shelters have been serving more families than usual over the last several weeks, and every bed matters right now. Our housing team is working quickly to move four families who are ready and safe to take their next step into apartments through our transitional housing program.

There’s just one problem: they need beds.

Between these four families, we need 18 air mattresses before they move in:
- 5 full-size air mattresses for adults
- 13 twin-size air mattresses for smaller children

We know that 18 mattresses is a BIG ask, but we also know what this community can do when local families need help.

If you can purchase a mattress, you’ll give someone a place to sleep in their new home AND help us make room in shelter for the next family who needs safety from domestic violence.

Raise your hand 🙋 below and we’ll send you the information you need to help!

We are so grateful for our longtime friends at Good Shepherd Catholic Community! 💜

Their incredible women’s group recently presented The Archway with a $3,000 gift to support survivors of domestic violence here in Tarrant County and beyond. From financial support to volunteering to donating needed items, Good Shepherd has shown up for our families in so many ways over the years.

Thank you for continuing to stand with survivors and with us. We are so lucky to call you friends!

⭐ Thank you for always showing up for survivors!! ⭐

Because of you, families escaping domestic violence have a safe place to sleep and the chance to start over.

Yesterday on North Texas Giving Day, you gave $48,198 to make that possible. That’s warm meals in their bellies, a roof overhead, and a path forward for families who lived in fear just days ago.

THANK YOU for changing the story for so many survivors in our community!

This is what your gift can do tonight. 💜

A safe bed for a mom fleeing domestic violence. A Pack ’n Play where her baby can sleep. Diapers, clean clothes and the basic things she may not have had time to pack.

It may look like a simple room, but to a mom desperate to get herself and her baby girl somewhere safe, it means everything.

There are just a few hours left of North Texas Giving Day, and your gift will make sure families arriving at our doors have what they need when they get here.

Will you give tonight and help make a room like this possible for the next family who needs us?

Head to the site in the picture or raise your hand 🙋 in the comments and we’ll send you the link to give.
