Greater Arlington Chamber Veterans Business Council The Veterans Business Council (VBC) was established to empower and connect Greater Arlington Chamber Veteran business owners.

Today we launch our "For God and Country" Sunday series. As Memorial Day approaches, our hearts turn to the sacred grounds of New Trinity Cemetery to honor the brave men and women who served with sacrifice.

For our Post 655 family in Haltom City, Fort Worth, Richland Hills, North Richland Hills, and Keller, this is a time for unity. Our motto, "For God and Country," is the heartbeat of our community, reminding us that we are bound by gratitude to those who protected our freedom.

Honoring our veterans is a mission we share. Whether you are a veteran or a neighbor looking to give back, your presence makes us stronger. Join us for this 16-week journey as we reflect on service, faith, and the ties that bind us.

This session will also include important updates on the State of Texas VetHub program and how veteran-owned businesses can leverage certification to increase visibility and access.

Sign up at https://sba-vboc.ecenterdirect.com/events/39109.

What We’ll Cover:
• Overview of the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program
• Understanding the recent VetHub designation and updates
• How UT institutions administer and implement HUB requirements
• Navigating the UT System procurement process
• Registering as a vendor and identifying opportunities

Like so many others this week, the Veterans Business Council Executive Leadership Team met via Zoom this morning.

We had strong attendance, and it was good to see everyone and confirm that, so far, most of us are making it through this winter storm safely.

Our conversation focused on the continued growth of the Veterans Business Council and the exciting events and initiatives coming up in the months ahead. It was encouraging to hear updates, exchange ideas, and stay connected despite the weather.

If you have a heart for supporting veteran-owned businesses and mission-driven leaders, we would love to have you join us at one of our upcoming events through the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce. You do not have to be a veteran to be part of this community. Allies like me are always welcome too.

I am grateful for this committed leadership team and the momentum we are building together.
