Meet Craig Porter, a man whose faith has taken him from serving his local community to supporting ministry around the world.

For Craig, missions aren’t only about traveling somewhere far away. They’re about meeting real needs, strengthening communities, encouraging others, and sharing the hope of Christ wherever God provides an opportunity.

Through Men Serving God, his church, mission work, and local organizations, Craig continues to put his faith into action both close to home and across borders.

Today, we’d like to ask something different.

What has prayer changed in your life?

Maybe God answered exactly as you hoped.

Maybe the situation didn’t change, but you did.

Maybe prayer gave you peace while you waited.

Some seasons seem to have one word written across them:

Wait.

Waiting for an answer.

Waiting for the appointment.

Waiting for the phone call.

Waiting for circumstances to change.

Waiting can make us feel like nothing is happening.

But waiting with God is not the same as doing nothing.

Sometimes the waiting season is where He teaches us to depend on Him one day at a time.

If you’re waiting on something today, you don’t have to figure out how the whole story ends.

Ask God for enough strength and peace for today.

Tomorrow can wait until tomorrow.

The impatient driver may be headed to the hospital.

We won’t always know the story.

But we can always choose grace.

Meet Phillip Wambsganss, a man who sees every part of life as an opportunity to serve.

From his family and church to his professional leadership and involvement with Men Serving God, Phillip believes the gifts, talents, and resources God gives us are meant to be used for His glory.

Through the MSG Mavs Team and service throughout the Arlington and Mansfield communities, Phillip continues to put that belief into action.

His story is a reminder that service doesn’t have to be limited to one place. It can become part of how we live every day.

There are names we carry in our hearts every day.

Our spouses. Children. Grandchildren. Parents. Brothers. Sisters.

Some are doing well. Others may be walking through something we wish we could fix for them.

Today, we’re placing our families in God’s hands.

Not every comment needs an immediate response.

Not every disagreement needs to become an argument.

Not every frustrating situation deserves our peace.

Before responding in anger, take a moment.

Pray first.

Ask God for wisdom before sending the text.

Ask for patience before continuing the conversation.

Ask yourself whether your next words will help or simply make you feel better for a moment.

A short pause with God can completely change what happens next.

This week, let’s practice praying before reacting.
