Sherry Dube Markert is excited to share a photo of the first holdover, trout she caught on the Guadalupe, River!

"Holdover" trout on the Guadalupe River in Texas are rainbow trout that survive the harsh summer temperatures thanks to the cold-water releases from Canyon Lake Dam. Highly prized by anglers, these wily, naturalized fish behave more like wild trout than freshly stocked hatchery fish.”
