The Girl Scout Bronze Award is a highly esteemed achievement for Girl Scouts at the junior level. Camila's project involved thoroughly educating the local community about native plants in our Josefa Garcia Park. Her exceptional leadership skillfully guided a group of scouts, family, and friends in planting native plants and emphasizing their crucial role in our environment. Her project will not only enhance the park with vibrant flowers but also provide a habitat for pollinating insects, aligning with the project's goal to educate and promote sustainability in our local community. Camila’s unwavering dedication and hard work far surpassed the minimum required hours, earning her the prestigious Presidential Award and bringing great honor to our scout community.
A Girl Scout is indeed honest and fair, and together we truly make the world a better place.

Mission Police Department Shine Gold.
Childhood Cancer Awareness.
GST Juliettes were able sponsor small toys as giveaways during this event.
Juliettes host a free game table and share information about their years of experiaence on scouting. This is one way to give back to the community by doing a good turned.
Big Thanks to our sister troops who stopped by, helped out or visited our game table.

Girl Scout Juliette Marilee's bronze project has helped give color and share kindness in one of the areas at the penguin trail at Josefa Garcia Park. Her project has and will keep spreading kindness thru a positive message demonstrating to our local community how important is to be kind to one another.
Marilee's bronze workshops brought together the local scouts group, Keep Alton Beautiful group, GST Juliette group, and the community to brighten with color stones and positive words the penguin trail at our local park, her project marks the beginning of a great art activity to remember to be kind to everyone.
The goal of this amazing project will inspire our scouts' sisters, the community, packs, and troops to keep bringing colorful rocks with positives messages to the park penguin trail and keep the project going by sharing an invaluable action “Kindness”
We welcome everyone to help with new ideas.

Great South Texas Girl Scout Camila bronze project joined forces with Alton City, Keep Alton Beautiful Group and her Girl Scouts sisters & GST Juliette group.
During a TAP while doing a park clean up Garcia Park Camila noticed the absence of butterflies and colorful flowers during the spring season her initiative to fix the problem or add color to the park was making a home garden for pollinators which will not only help the park but the whole community.
As she worked on her bronze project she found out that her project will bring environmental benefits not only to Josefas Garcia Park but also to surrounding areas.
GS Camila's main goal was to add colorful flowers to the new park area and have a home for pollinator animals. A simple project that is “make the world a better place”
Her bronze award will have an immeasurable impact on our local communities.
Congratulations Girl Scout Camila for leading the way!
