How can you save water this summer, and save money doing so? 🌎🌱🌻

Water Conservation is important, especially in the dry Texas summers. There are a few, easy ways to help aid in the effort!

Avoid watering in the middle of the day. This will allow water to absorb better into soil before having the chance to evaporate.

Check and repair leaks! Running toilet? Leaky faucet? Leaking valves? Fixing those small things can help save on water bills.

Use less water! It may seem like an obvious one, but taking shorter showers and turning on the faucet only to wet/rinse a dish, toothbrush, or razor, and then turning it off until needed again can save up to 200 gallons of water a month.

Think if all the water, and money, you could save by going the extra inch! You can read more about water conservation, keeping the water clean, and more by going to takecareoftexas.org

It was such a great experience being apart of the tree planting event for at the . It is so rewarding to see all 21 trees planted so quickly.

Arbor Day is coming up next. I encourage you all to see what events your local communities have planned, and be apart of one. It's a great way to share your love for Earth, better our future, and meet new people all at the same time.

🌎🌻🌱 Sometimes, onions sprout before you get to chopping them up for your favorite meal.

Instead of throwing out this onion, I planted it!

This is a super easy way to grow your own veggies that would otherwise be wasted. You can also do similar things with celery, lettuce, potatoes, garlic, carrots, and more!
