Volunteers Needed: Ground Searchers and Visual Observers

AeroPulse CAS is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3), and every search is free to the family. We're building out our ground team for lost pet recovery across North Alabama and Middle Tennessee.

Visual Observers keep eyes on the drone and the airspace while the pilot flies. It's a required safety role under FAA rules and takes no prior drone experience. We train you, and volunteers who wish to become pilots take priority.

Ground Searchers walk assigned areas on foot, confirm what the thermal camera picked up, and help with containment when an animal is located. Expect rough terrain, brush, ticks, and early mornings.

You need to be 18 or older, have reliable transportation and a phone, cover your own fuel and gear, and take direction from the pilot on scene. No set schedule. Call-outs are as-needed and you take the ones you can take.

Based in Ardmore. To get on the team, message this page, email [email protected], or call (931) 292-9062.

For Joe.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with AeroPulse CAS. We deploy volunteer drone pilots and ground teams for search and rescue, lost pet recovery, and public safety support — completely free to those we serve. Fill out every section as completely as possible. A coordinator will be in touc...
