Are you an AVJO parent who wants to help shape the future of our program? Do you have skills that can help us grow our organization? Then consider joining the AVJO Board of Directors!

The AVJO Board meets once a month (usually via MS Teams, though sometimes in person) to discuss and plan the future of the club - special events, finances, staff, logistics, etc.

Board members can be at-large, or fill specialized roles. AVJO is currently looking for assistance specifically with uniform/spirit wear planning and hotel coordination for travel tournaments.

Players and parents might be looking back on the memories of the 2026 winter season, but AVJO is already looking ahead towards the fall!

Some key things to look forward to:

* Parent surveys coming soon
* Registration for girls fall and boys club begins in July
* Fall girls tryouts will take place in August
* Boys club tryouts will take place in September
* Looking to add board members (at-large and specific roles)
* Hiring coaches for the 2026-27 season (boys and girls, all ages)

Our final squad for the AVJO Season Recap is our first-ever 17s team, coached by Coaches Pat and Mike. Many of these girls have been with AVJO for years, and their dedication and hard work is truly inspiring. Not only that, they had a very successful season, earning four medals and bringing home AVJO's second trophy ever at the NSVU President's Day Tournament!

Coach Amanda and her 16-1 squad finished the year amongst the most decorated teams in AVJO. Two championships. One runner-up performance. Four medals. A trophy. Six top-bracket finishes. The 15-3s were an inspiring group this season for AVJO, coming together as a team from many different schools and backgrounds to have a great deal of success! Highlights included an undefeated day at the Heart of the Season playdate and two medal-winning performances at Heartland tournaments! Coach Kyle couldn't be more proud of his squad, who took on every challenge with a great attitude and lots of laughter!
