We are Continuing the Conversation... with our friends at 😄

Every day, the NAA works to connect people with information, support, and a community that understands -- and our community members like Voices of Hope for Aphasia help make that possible!🤝

Because every conversation increases understanding. And every voice needs to be heard! 💚

For many people, it can be hard to imagine what it would be like to have aphasia. One way to building understanding is through interactive aphasia simulations.

No simulation can fully recreate what it is like to live with aphasia. However, simulations can help us better understand some of the communication challenges that people with aphasia may face.

Read our latest blog (in English and in Spanish) to learn more and try an aphasia simulation for yourself!

One of the questions we hear often at the National Aphasia Association is: “There isn’t an aphasia group near me. How can I start one?”

Maybe you are a person with aphasia looking for more connection. Maybe you are a care partner who wishes your family had found a community sooner. Maybe you are a speech-language pathologist, healthcare professional, student, librarian, or community member who sees a need.

Our first message to you is simple: You can start something. It does not have to be big. Start small. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Connection is the point.
