Thanks to everyone who has donated to date, we are excited that we have been able to order our Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the shop. We are still accepting donations for the second AED that will be taken on our field trips; we're not done yet! Welcome to Summer from our Metalsmiths! It’s not only the temps that are heating up, but our teachers and monitors are keeping things hot with new torch work. Check out some of our pieces in the image below.

Open Studio time will continue to be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays through the summer. We’d love to see you during our open studio time to make good use of our great studio and tools. It’s always fun to hang out for a bit with like-minded people (read crazy rock hounds)

One of the gorgeous bolos in our pic has been added to the Club's June raffle. The piece alone is worth entering the raffle. And ladies, bolos are not just for men!

Thanks to everyone who has donated to our equipment campaign to purchase two AEDs for the club. So far, we have raised enough money to purchase one machine. We now have it on order and will receive it soon. The first AED will be kept at the shop, and our second will be for our field trips. In mid-April, we started an equipment campaign to purchase two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for the club, one for the shop and one for field trips.

Thanks to our members' generous support so far, we've raised 75% of the money needed to buy one AED. If every member donates at least $20, we will have the funds needed to purchase this lifesaving equipment. Every dollar will help! If all of our followers, members and non-members alike donate, that would be amazing!

In addition to the machines themselves, we will have to replace the batteries every four years. Additionally, the pads for the monitoring/shocking are one-time use only.
