Our club metalsmiths are offering another stacker ring class!

Have you always wanted to make your own jewelry? Here is your chance to get a taste of the world of metalmithing!

We are offering a 2-hour class for you to learn about hammering and soldering metal, then you’ll walk out with 3 textured, stacker rings.

We will be working with copper, a beautiful and versatile metal.

July 29, 9:00-11:30 am

Class fee $20

Limited to 6 students

Thank you all who donated to our campaign to purchase two AEDs, one for the shop and one for our field trips. We made it! Like insurance, we hope to never have to use either of these, but we're so happy to have them. THANK YOU ALL!

Thanks to all of you who have donated so far to our Automated External Defibrillator campaign! As noted previously, we've been able to purchase the AED for the shop and the ancillary equipment needed to mount it on the wall. (See attached photo.)

We need approximately $500 more to purchase the second AED that will be used for our field trips. We are soooo close, it's exciting! We hope to have the rest of the funds that will enable us to order the AED (and accompanying backpack) in time and have it in hand when our field trips kick off in September. With your continued donations, we will make it!

Please consider giving $20, or more if possible. Today is the last day to buy raffle tickets for the 01 July drawing - which is tomorrow! The attached photos are a reminder of what the winner will receive. Also included in this drawing will be a club golden ticket that can be used to go on a field trip of your choice! Thanks to all of our generous members who donated to this and previous raffles. We are always accepting donations for future raffles.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the club or online here: ajrockclub-online-payment-center.square.site. If there are any questions, please email: [email protected]. You don't have to be a member to participate in the raffle! Your last day to buy a ticket for this raffle is 30 June; the drawing will be on 01 July 2026. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five. We are adding this month's raffle proceeds toward our AED equipment campaign, so buy tickets early and often!

Don't forget to buy your raffle tickets! Here's another fun item that the winner will receive.... Three separate gifts from the sea, which include the following: One glass decanter filled with shells, rocks, seaglass, and a few unidentified items, most of which washed up on a beach. This was donated by Penny Perry. We are also including one of our Club glass mugs filled with unique sea shells. The mug was donated by Michael Herrera, and the shells were donated by Wayne Larson. We also have a Murex and a Queen Conch shell, also donated by Wayne Larson. Return here for more!
