We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a strong understanding of Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus
• Enjoys working with students
• Has tutoring experience or is pursuing a career in education (preferred, but not required)

Our tutoring center is looking for 5–6 rolling flip-top tables like the ones in the photo. If your business, school, church, office, or organization has any they are no longer using and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful.

These tables will help us create a more flexible learning space for the students we serve every week.

As we get ready for a new school year, our students had the privilege of learning about anxiety, stress management, and healthy coping skills from Karla Artiga, MSW, a school-based clinician and passionate mental health advocate. Karla holds a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and has dedicated her career to supporting students’ social and emotional well-being.

Students learned practical tools to manage anxiety, including breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, and even created their own stress-relief squishies to take home.

Did you know? Nearly 1 in 5 children experience anxiety each year, making emotional wellness just as important as academic success.

Now Hiring: Part-Time Math Tutor

RRTH Learning Center is looking for a dedicated tutor to join our team and help students build confidence and succeed in school.

Schedule
📍 Antioch: Mondays & Wednesdays | 4:00–6:00 PM
📍 Pittsburg: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 2:30–4:00 PM (at a local junior high school)

Qualifications
✅ Strong math skills are required (college-level math coursework is strongly preferred)
✅ Experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or working with youth is preferred
✅ Patient, dependable, and able to explain concepts clearly
✅ Must pass a background check

This is a paid, part-time, after-school position with consistent weekly hours. It is ideal for college students pursuing education, math, engineering, or a related field, substitute or retired teachers, or experienced tutors looking for flexible hours.
